I think the worst QBs in the NFL come down to a handful of players:

Trace McSorley: 1 TD, 5 INTs, 48.8 passer rating
John Wolford: 1 ID, 5 INTs, 59.2 passer rating
Tim Boyle: 3 TDs, 8 INTs, 54.5 passer rating
Nathan Peterman: 4 TDs, 13 INTs, 39.4 passer rating
Malik Willis: 0 TDs, 3 INTs, 42.8 passer rating (my 10-yo son throws a better ball than this guy... I'm not joking)

Now it all makes sense why he's on our roster! BB wants to 'handicap' himself because it would be unfair to win with an elite QB!

Because they need something to complain about. You've got guys who've been following this team for decades complaining about this signing and saying that it's going to go worse than the Judge/Patricia experiment. It's mind-boggling.

I think this list you've put together is a far more accurate definition of the term "mediocre," - but that's just me.
