Yup, and I think it's more likely that he gets extended than traded.Wynn's not going anywhere this year. He's a decent LT, very quick feet, good run blocker. I think BB values him highly.

The bar wasn’t set very high to be honest. But I agree with you, It is a great move! now I hope he will play for more than half the year.best of the offseason so far in my opinion
Mac breathing a little easier this morning nothing like having a Mountain of a man in front of you.
Seems like we have a log jam of young Edges who haven't hit their strides yet we spend good draft capital on them. I would be against picking a Edge so early knowing the other needs Especially at CB and WR.Trade down. Pick a CB and a WR with 1st 2 picks unless an elite LB/DE is on the board.
Maybe Herron or Cajuste competes for a starting position. Cajuste is an enigma, lots of raw talent but has not put it together. This is Cajuste's 4th year of his rookie contract so he has motivation to stepup - if he starts his payday next year is huge.Herron is 6' - 5"- 290 lbs
He doesnt see the playing time, but per PFF, Herron has a higher grade than Wynn.
Great news, best of the offseason so far in my opinion!!!!
Our O-line looking a lot better than end of last week:
IF/WHEN healthy he is a huge playier
Anyway i like his resigning
Definitely needed him or someone roughly as good as him to make this OL look viable again. Now it's time to figure out what to do at guard and what to do with Onwenu.
No way we're taking OL in the first when we have two good starting tackles. 5th & 6th rounds.
Agreed; Wynn could be the answer long-term at Left Guard, however, if Trent Brown proves worthy of the starting Left Tackle spot...Nice to have the consistency and experience. The main question is if he stays at RT?
Wynn is not the answer at LT long term. But do they stand pat this year - depending on draft talent (a new LT or LG)
I really hope that Bill gives this combination very, Very serious consideration.I think Sherman is the next guy up at this moment for the missing 5th OL.
But is Brown better off locking down the LT, shift Wynn inside to LG and put Onwenu at RT?
Brown - Wynn - Andrews - Sherman - Onwenu OR stay with...
Wynn - Sherman - Andrews - Onwenu - Brown
I'm starting to lean towards CB/
Agree...CB first option...
Health is a constant.I think health will be the determining factor there. Brown's injury really kicked things off poorly, not only because it happened so early but there was clearly a setback or something that prevented them from shuffling things sooner (probably thought he'd be back sooner and thus didn't want to move guys around for only a week or so). If they can just get like 4 or 5 games all together before someone has to miss a game, it'll be much easier to plug a guy in and keep it rolling. This is all assuming they find a decent starter at LG (which shouldn't be a big problem, plenty of places including internally for that to happen).
I love your passion Captain!!!Our Left side is a ****ing disaster, and the "depth" we have behind the top 4 is not one molecule more useful than Hazardous Waste... At best, Herron's an easily replaceable candidate for backup LG/LT... Dude is Not, repeat NOT a Right-side lineman... Cachoo is an easily replaceable candidate for backup to the Swing Tackle (NOT the Swing Tackle itself!)... and neither Yesir C'mon in Durant, Arlington Street Station Hambone nor Thanksdad Ferentz or even NFL players, on Any ****ing Level.
Otherwise we're in terrific shape.
Pick '21 is going to get traded. I would bet big money that Bill is going to trade back from 21 to pick up additional assets.
