It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The only comparison I have to go on is Edelman, and his measurables were pretty spectacular for a potential slot receiver. King not so much, but I haven't seen any tape, so I can't judge (not like I'd be able to even after watching it). Just pro day numbers:Yeah, he's pretty explosive, but he's old (for a rookie) and banged up. I don't see him making it, although I wouldn't be averse to kicking the tires as an UDFA

i feel like he would be a sneaky good pick if we could get him with our 3rd round pick. Not only as a long-term replacement for White, but he could become an immediate weapon in the passing game. There are so many ways he could be used in the passing game that he would almost make the need to draft another wide receiver this year a moot point.I saw James Cook, RB Georgia is visiting us this week

If the Pats go defense with their 1st and 2nd round picks, and Metchie, Robinson and Shakir are all off the board at 85, Cook would be a much better addition IMO than any WR left on the board.
He is generally rated around 100 on most big board's i have looked at so he could very well be there when we pick at 85.
Are my expectations for this guy too high?
Hmmm, only one WR, Metchie. And I am not too keen on Metchie (of course, what do I know?). Does this mean that they feel they are all set with WRs? Gawd. Or could this be the old Patriots pre-draft rope-a-dope?For completeness, here is a website that’s keeping track of all the official visits. Doesn’t have today’s supposed 3 visits I posted above (at the moment).

Would be interesting if we wound up with Mike Vrabel’s kid.

Or could this mean that since they were fooled by the Harry interview into making one of the worst first round picks in the Patriots history that they have decided to minimize WR interviews, yuck, yuck...or since almost all the good WRs are prima donnas and BB hates prima donnas, someone has decided to cut down on these interviews and evaluate the WRs based on things like: Can they get open?
Any reason why your not a fan of Metchie?
I like him a lot for everything except his ability to get open. He does not show an elite ability to get open or run away from CBs. Granted these are SEC CBs but he will face tougher CBs in the NFL. Also consider that he was up against second tier CBs because the top CBs were watching Waddle or Jameson. He has a lot of good intangibles but I like tangible stuff like the ability to get open and good hands. I would not draft him before round 6 or 7 but he will be gone by then.
Metchie seems like a great guy and a good teammate for Mac, but we do not need another boy scout who cannot get open.
I watched some more highlights and you might be right. I am being too harsh; he can get open, bu the is not scary fast like Waddle or Jameson Williams. Yea, maybe 3 is where he is drafted....I'm not a fan of Metchie before the 3rd, too many drops, too much of a body catcher. But seperation is one of his strengths, if not his biggest strength. He gets open quick.
I like that the Patriots draft group is looking at kids from big-time programs who have a record of success. However, what's the fixation with Arizona State? For completeness, here is a website that’s keeping track of all the official visits. Lucas and Butler shouldn't be on that list. The Patriots sent somebody to meet with them in Arizona, as opposed to bringing them to Foxborough for a top 30 visit. Jones was a top 30 visit, presumably to thoroughly discuss his long list of red flags.I like that the Patriots draft group is looking at kids from big-time programs who have a record of success.
