Surprised if Ferentz is done, but it is best long-term. He is what he is - a JAG at best. But, a JAG
who knows the calls at center if Andrews went down. Hopefully Russey is ready to take over in a pinch early in the season, and J.Andrews perhaps later on.

There's a bit of a roster crunch coming up for this next game.

Can only elevate two players, but they kind of need three - a QB, a RB and likely a TE. One solution would be to IR Reiff before the game - he's the only member of the 53 not practicing, so probably not much use for the next two games at least. If they don't want to do that as he's close to being back, then have to go with only two TEs.

Ferentz has already collected $200,000 in bonus and salary guarantees which equates to about 10 weeks of his practice squad salary. Also, there are 12 Olinemen available to practice this week. How many do you need? He’ll be back to the PS at least as the season progresses.

Carl Davis has collected $250k in bonus and guarantees. Expect him to return at some point as well.

Yes, they are available, to every team.

I don't see how their already collecting bonus money makes it more likely to be on the patriots PS. I think that both are LESS likely to want to be on our PS, and will wait until someone wants them on their 53 man roster, without a 3 week requirement. The pay for one week on the 53 is about $50K, so they can wait.

I wonder if this changes the Patriots intentions with Corral and Zappe.
If I’m the Pats I don’t mind going with just Mac and Corral.
If Mac goes down we have no chance against the Eagles.

Are you saying there is a rule that a team must have QB2? That is not how I read it. My QB2 will be elevated to 53 roster on game week. They went out of their way to specify 3rd QB can not be elevated PS player. But did they say that about the QB2? I think this is where BB's interpretation of the rules comes in handy lol.
