I suspect Vrabel has been planning his coaching staff for the past year. I’m looking forward to who he hires. Hopefully, he will help bring in personnel people as well.

I think theoretically no one is safe; but if Vrabes fired Springer it would portend for a lot of bad future choices and I would be disappointed.

Last season needed to happen in order for a top to bottom reser for the organization. This is the right hire all along. I've heard of Shane bowen being DC possibly...isn't he under contract with the Giants still??

Yes, but they thought the Giants may part ways amicably.

He's never taken anyone to any level except Brady, Mac Jones fell off a cliff after 8 games.

Based on what?? He had Brissett, Jimmy G, Kyle Orton, and he had us top 10 in PPG with Mac as a rookie.. have to give the guy credit for that. I'd have more confidence in Josh as OC and QB coach for Drake. Unless you think someone out there is better..

Saleh is a bad fit for our personal. He is a zone scheme DC. Gonzo is man corner. I don’t want Saleh to turn him in Sauce Gardner

Bruschi and Vrabel are tight since their playing days, I am sure Bruschi knows plenty.

I am a MEGA fan of this hire, I would have been open to Johnson but Vrabel was my top choice. Loved the guy as a player but also as a coach, I was honestly jealous of the Titans when he was having success there and it seems crazy that he somehow has landed here.

I’m looking forward to Vrabel fixing up the front office, coaching staff, and culture. I actually do think the Patriots have good scouts but don’t have the best folks steering the ship. I don’t think it will take a lot to get that resolved. Better folks at the top and just more folks in general (more analytics, etc).

McDaniels is just more not modernizing the offense and looking outside the Patriots connections, the only positive to McDaniels is he won't leave for a head coaching job the negatives are his system has never functioned at a top half of NFL level without Brady and is complicated for young WRs which are more vital than ever before.

I like the idea of Vrabel paired with the next Ben Johnson or Matt LaFleur as OC he managed it in Tennneesee why can't he find the next one here?

We can get the best of both worlds why do we have to settle for McDaniels it's all too comfortable for me just going pure Patriot ties, i get Vrabel is low risk and leader of men and a good choice but can we get some innovation at coordinator?

Bowen was Vrabes DC in Tennessee I believe. So he has a relationship obviously. I want an aggressive DC none of this reactionary Defense attack and dictate the LOS.

Given the fact that Tom Quinn who is right now Springer’s assistant was on Vrabel staff in Tennessee in 2023, I’ll say there is a chance Springer can stay

Ben Johnson was also an EP guy. I hope that in his sabbatical Josh was able to maybe bring something new to his scheme.

Josh has done it at an elite level, and he's still a pretty young guy.

Given the fact that Mac Jones is at best a mid level backup even if the last 8 games fell off what Josh was able to do with him that year is pretty impressive

I like that he had a year with personnel with the Browns, even though they are a mess, he probably will target a few hidden gems that he came across in that role..
Word of caution we all need to be patient as this is a massive rebuild as the cupboard is bare.. but it will happen with Mike at the helm.
