Apparently Trey Brown (CIN) and Quentin Harris (ARI) have both declined to interview.

I think they'd want to go thru the process as a learning experience even if they know Wolfe will be hired. Seems short sighted on their part.
Plus maybe they knock the Pats socks off and the Pats talk him up to other clubs or the pats offer another position at a higher salary,
Def should at least zoom interview.
I’ll take any zoom interview right now if it’s comp or a promotion.

"Going through the process" can backfire in a hurry. Once you've gone through the process 3 or 4 times without getting a job offer, teams start to wonder what is wrong with you and why you have been rejected so much.

Not to mention these are extremely busy men in their current roles and probably don't want to take several days off for what is clearly a sham.

I'm not sure about Williams, but I know Trey Brown was a hot candidate back in January and has already done this song & dance before so I don't know how much more there is to learn.

I wonder if a team can request a Rooney Rule exemption if enough minority candidates decline the interview offer.

It's a faux system so they can pretty much do what they want just not say the quiet part out loud and embarrASS Goodell.

They ate going to have to do something else with that rule because predictably, minority coaches don’t want to do sham interviews, but teams should also be able to hire an internal guy they like and know. Just a bad idea.

That makes 3 candidates now that have declined to interview.

I'm not sure what they're supposed to do here. Eventually they will have to go find random scouts that are minorities that they have no interest in and beg them to interview just to satisfy the rule.

What's sad is the Patriots instead of interviewing guys who are already working in an NFL front office, why not interview some candidates outside of the NFL that would love a chance to actually get their foot in the door.

Sure they might not be qualified for the GM position but maybe they impress enough to gain an entry level position with the chance of moving up in the future.

Hasn't Wolf been doing the job so far? At least that's what the media has been implying. That would be weird if they bring in someone from the outside. I'd wait to see how this draft class doing - or more importantly Maye. Like KC, Brett Veach was immediately promoted to GM after the emergence of Patrick Mahomes. He was the one that pushed Reid into taking him.
