Patriots - Colts AFC Championship Game, Who Has the Razor's Edge? Key Matchups

Steve Balestrieri

The Colts simply don’t have anyone who can matchup effectively with Rob Gronkowski. He’s the big target this week for both teams.

I am curious to see how the Pats come out this week. When we last played Indy, it was run, run, run and Gronk was not a focus of the game. But just last week it was pass, pass, pass with Gronk being a big focus, at least to get us going when we were stalled. I'm just hoping the D shows up and doesn't let Indy go up and down the field as they did the Ravens. It was maddening! What the heck happened there?

I think the big difference between the Colts and Ravens is the O-Line. I would say the Ravens probably have the best O-Line in the NFL and they are very physical. Forsett led the league in yards before being touched this year. The Colts on the other hand have a tough time running the ball and i don't think we need to stack the box to stop the run. This will allow us to play Hilton man up with over the top help, rather than putting a safety in the box and employing run blitzes with our LB. Browner and Revis are both strong tacklers and we can play tight on the line and support the run. I think we have the tools to make it very difficult for the Colts to march up and down the field.
