Is that the official term? What's wrong with "Fired"?
Technically - we don't know if he was fired. He may have been, or he may have resigned and Kraft has declared he won't seek compensation. They may have voided the final year of his deal for a buyout fee, so he was neither fired nor resigned. We don't know. We may never know. The only technically correct term to use at this time is what the team has supplied us with unless/until more info comes to light.

Surely we're into semantics here? Kraft wanted him out (as did PLENTY of posters on here). Fired, resigned, mutually agreed etc it all ends up in the same outcome. I don't see any lack of respect for the GOAT by calling it what it was. Anyways, not worth any more words on it. I'll move on.

Pats request to interview Atlanta Special Teams Coach Marquice Williams for the Special teams coordinator position...

Maybe signals Cam Achords time with the team is coming to an end... hopefully...

If they were keeping Achord they wouldn’t be interviewing anyone. So I would think this guarantees a change on special teams.

i want a new offensive mind.
As horrible as the offense was, BOB wasn't allowed by BB to bring in his own offensive position coaches. Add to that a serious lack of talent and/or depth at every offensive position, BOB should at least be given a chance to bring his own coaches in and see what he can really do, as he does have a great deal of success using multiple approaches to offensive football that he's accumulated over his coaching career.

It’s definitely worth hearing him out on what his plan would be if given more leeway to craft things the way he wants, but they also need to talk to multiple OC candidates and hear their plans as well. Whoever has the most compelling plan that sets them up for long term success should be the guy.

I absolutely agree with you! Especially if we craft the offense around a QB like Jayden Daniels (or craft the offense around the particular skills of whatever QB will be "The Guy"). Many blame BOB for the offense, and I just don't believe that based on numerous verifiable reports, that BOB was given a truly good opportunity to show what he can do with his own guys as coaches and hopefully significantly upgraded talent, especially considering that he's been a proven and solid OC.

Maybe, but I also wonder if that comes from some offensive assistant trying to come up with an excuse for why the offense was bad. “It’s not our fault it was bad, we wanted to do things differently but BOB didn’t even want to work with us”

I suppose that only time will tell if that happens or not.

I can't wait to send Judge to Alaska to coach high school.
I'd much rather keep BOB and give him Asst. HC role. Just getting rid of Judge will be great.
There is no point in giving a coordinator a AHC designation. It’s used to protect an additional coach against poaching

Mayo’s already off to a good start. Achord has needed to gtfo since 2021 but we still let him hang around so his units can help cost us games the last 2 years too.

Id like to see a change at oc too but wouldn’t be TOO against Bob again. Its just…. 13 ppg, i know the situation was poor but ya gotta find a way to do more.

You simply cannot score lots of points with the worst QB's and the worst OT's in the NFL, and BTW not a great set of receivers.

I'm sure that Bill told Bob that Patricia would have had no problems with the QB's, OT's and WR's.

Reading if Raiders keep Pierce they are expected to go to Kingsbury for OC.
I know he was mentioned here as a candidate.

Kingsbury would be an incredible hire, considering I know for a fact he has a handful of major college HC jobs waiting for him.

That's the other part about an OC like JMD, BOB, or even Kliff (who could be exciting) - all those guys would be hankering for another HC job in the next 1-2 years.
I think we need to put someone there who will stay for at min 3-4 years. That means a younger up-and-coming guy.

I agree, it just might be tougher to find that than anyone thinks. For example, Bobby Slowik has been the OC in Houston for one year, and he's already getting looks for head coaching jobs. The coaching landscape is so skewed towards offense right now that all it takes is one good year and the dude is gone. I expect that to equilibrate at some point, but for now that's the reality.
