Chargers defense is good, not great. Maye will put up 30 against any defense in the league not named the Texans.
The only teams that can stay in games with Maye are teams that can score 30 against us. Bills and maybe the Jags in the AFC. Everyone else should be a 2 score win for the Pats.

Mahomes, Prescott, and Daniel Jones all had no issues with the Chargers defense. If Pats don't turn it over they are scoring over 30. NO way Chargers offense keeps up.

The 2 seed might be the ideal seed, yeah you get the extra game vs 1 seed but sometimes the layoff leads to rust. Chargers are weakest team, good chance Bills beat Jags and you get Texans or Steelers in round 2. I'd almost rather play Chargers then Steelers/Texans vs a week off and getting Josh Allen and the Bills. I have a hard time seeing Bo Nix beating Josh Allen so I see Pats-Bills AFC championship game, as it should be.

I'm a bit concerned. Their pass rush is better than the Texans.

I think Maye will get his though.
They have a solid defense.. however nothing remotely close to the Texans and the effectiveness the Texans rush has because of Stingley Jr. In the secondary..

Allen is the Only QB who's scares me if we faced Bills. Also we have to remember we are getting a Herbert playing with essentially 1 hand.. even though it's his left hand injured he still needs it to grip, take the snap and protect the ball. The first hit on that hand if we can get to him may be what will effect him.

I agree with your post. Steelers and Texans is interesting match up.. if the Texans offense chooses not to show up Pitt can take advantage. Nix definitely leaves more to be desired at the QB position.

Marcus on McConkey? Or should gonzo be? Remember they came in here last year and blew out the jerod mayo patriots..

I'm more concerned about our pass rush not getting any pressure on Herbert.
Jennings and ponder have provided a spark to the pass rush.. Jennings is giving you more right now then an injured Landry is.

I genuinely dont think Buffalo gets past the Wildcard round. Pretty sure we're getting the Jags while the Broncos and Texans beat the snot out of each other

Pats are a well balanced team. Second overall in points for at 28.8 points a game. And Fourth overall in points against at 18.8 points a game.

And with getting key guys back at the right time, we SHOULD see the best from the Pats going forward.

Need Spillane back at LB.. Jennings and Ponder have been playing well and helping the much need pass rush..

We need everyone back. Our biggest weakness is lack of depth this year…..aside from a true edge
Agree.. was a bit supried to see Spillane not playing yesterday.. assuming he can go Sunday.. we need him.. Jennings and Ponder have been giving some much needed juice at edge.

Seeing a lot of so-called experts online picking the Chargers over the Patriots. Every single one of them use only one reason why they are picking the Chargers - the Pats haven't played anyone. Seriously, that is the only reason they really give.

Do they realize that the undefeated season Dolphins had an easier schedule or the Greatest Show on Turf Rams also had an easier schedule when they won the Super Bowl?

Seriously, if all you have is "the Pats haven't played anyone" for your argument, you shouldn't be claiming to be an expert.

The Chargers are the weakest AFC Team and also injured. They have some players that can give Us problems and vice versa. The Chargers are not playing the Mayo Patriots.

Pats haven’t played anyone… oh except when they beat the Bills, a playoff team, forget that one though… oh and when they destroyed the Panthers, another playoff team, forget that one… and the Bucs and Ravens, two fringe playoff teams, forget those too I guess… and generally beat the “bad” teams in dominating fashion…

I guess forget about all that - because the other playoff teams ONLY played great teams all season, right? Their strength of schedule is probably, like, .700. What’s that? NE’s was .391 and Denver was barely better at .422, and Buffalo, Jacksonville, all Los Angeles had SOS around like .470? Hmmmmm…

Looking ahead, Denver's defense is very good but their offense is beatable. Bo Nix only had one completion over 10 yards today.

New England's lousy secondary says, "Hold my beer".

The schedule looks to possibly set up for an AFFCG in Foxboro. I think the Pats and Jags win in Wild Card weekend. If that happens, the Texans go to Denver. I don't think the Broncos can beat the Texans. I know they beat the Texans earlier in the season, but that was before the Texans pulled it together and only won by a field goal and needed a fourth quarter comeback. And right now the Texans are surging and the Broncos seem to be a little stagnant.

Carlton Davis need to bring like when he's cashing his players check at the bank. He was giving up a lot of completions to a no name Miami Receiver. The Chargers have some players on the outside and inside.

And let's face it, they should have beaten the Steelers. They outplayed them, but they were still trying to pull things together early in the season and made some stupid turnovers that they haven't been doing since. But I guess you cannot give them credit for a loss.

I think the Chargers have a chance to win, but the Patriots are favorites for a reason.

The Chargers have lost four of their last six games. All four losses were against playoff teams. Both wins were against teams not in the playoffs. In fact, the Chargers are 3-5 against playoff teams. They beat the Eagles in overtime, Broncos early in the season and the Steelers. They lost to the Jags, Broncos, Texans, 49ers, and Rams. Also they lost to the Colts when the Colts were the best team in the league according to the record.
