Offseason stinks, so much speculation and everything is a news headline. To kill time until free agency, what do you guys think of this? Do we really need Marshall? Would he take vet minimum? Can he pick up the offense?

He's not going to be a vet minimum player, if they bring him in it will likely cost around 6 million imo. There will be a market for him and while he may want to play here it's doubtful he would leave millions on the table to do so.

I think he's one of those players the fans would love if he played here but hate hi when he plays elsewhere (ala Rodney Harrison, Moss). He's big, fast, runs good routes, gets open and fights for the ball. He'd be a beast playing with a real QB. Josh may push for this to get done if they are close on dollars.

Not sure if this was brought up previously but wasn't there a huge blowout between Marshall and McDaniels in Denver? I would assume it isn't happening for that reason alone.

File this under I don't buy it but it's intriguing. Doesn't seem like a good fit for a lot of reasons but man can he ball.

eeewwwww

not a chance

I like our guys. Not sure where he would fit in this offense. Edelman is the primary, Hogan stretches the field and Mitchell has shown lots of promise

Plus, we have Devin Lucien on his cheap rookie contract waiting in the wings on the PS who is 6'2". His Sr year at ASU he had 66 catches for 1,074 yards and 8 TDs.

He already has a 1 year head start on Marshall for knowing the route tree in NE.

If the Pats re-sign Floyd for a show-me contract, I simply don't see the need (on many levels) to pay big bucks for Brandon Marshall.

However, I don't get the vitriol some are throwing at him in the other thread. Even in this day and age - but ESPECIALLY in the sport of football - what he publicly divulged and has become a national spokesman about is admirable. This guy has had incredible courage and selflessness to do what he did. He could have simply gotten his treatment and kept quiet. But he chose to be a role model and actively support others. Good on him.
