I am still concerned about Johnson's commitment to football. Unless it is an one year prove it deal, it won't be a signing I would be excited about. He has a lot of upside if he works his butt off, but I don't think he has for several years.

However I was hoping that me saying we should sign two OGs would be taken the way it was intended, as the setup to the lets-give-Brady-so-much-time-he-could-tie-his-shoes joke I made.

That and no one ever says lets sign these two sexy OGs.

Not sure how I feel about Johnson.

On one hand, he's quite mercurial and unpredictable. Doesn't seem like a clutch guy you'd rely on the playoffs.

On the other, he seems like a talent who has underperformed by virtue of being on crappy teams in the past. In other words, a value signing that's right in BB's wheelhouse.

Stevie is the next WR I would want now that the Harvin ship has sailed... I thought it was unlikely due to his past comments about Foxboro but I guess it's not, which is great. I agree with the sentiment that he has underperformed in his career but appears to have some real talent if he works hard at it. No one is more likely to provide that motivation than BB.

I also like the turn of events... Jets sign Revis & Cromartie, Pats add a legit TE those DBs can't cover and will potentially also add Revis' kryptonite player.

His contract is only 5 years 25 million through 2017. We would actually have the same CB1 for years to come.
