@RapSheet: In random #Saints news, they are in the process of re-doing the much-discussed contract of CB Keenan Lewis to make him… happier

RIP Mathis RIP Lewis

I honestly don't see the need for stevie johnson.

I get what Underhill is saying. But all those other guys didn't openly want out of NO like Lewis does.
With our history of drafting CB's and with the 32nd pick, would it be nuts to trade a 1st rounder? Maybe not.

All this is very dependent on IF Lewis would want to come here. I cannot stress that enough. We need to talk to him first through New Orleans.

Don't take a CB with #32. Don't. Nor do you trade it. Choose DL or OL. BB's hits have been mostly on the lines in early rounds. Go there. Find CB help elsewhere.

Just a couple thoughts...

- it's well known that a QB throws to multiple WR's during a game. we have multiple very capable WR's on the roster. 3 to be exact. No less then this past season.
- it's well known that a QB can throw to multiple TE's during a game. we have multiple receiving TE's on the roster. We have upgraded at this position with Chandler.
- a big part of our game plan is dumping off to the RB. the super bowl is an example. we current don't have that proven RB on the roster.

Just thinking out loud here...seems like a 3rd down RB should be a priority

While we have not lost any WR's in the off-season....we did lose Dan Connolly from the O-line. Just a crazy thought here. An upgrade a Guard should be a higher priority then WR as well.

I think it's the fact that we only really have like 2.5 proven wideouts.

edelman, lafell and amendola...do you consider amendola to be the .5?

Absolutely. So many people don't seem to see that a rookie CB won't help us.

you can't have a rookie CB and malcolm butler as your starters, there's too much inexperience there.

True. Rookie Devin McCourty was a bust his rookie season at CB. This year is very thin with high quality CB's in the draft...but anything is possible....in BB I trust.

THIS IS AN EDIT: The Devin comment was sarcasm. Yes...it's possible we draft a CB very early and he is effective. I can only dream he has the same impact as Devin

Devin was good as a CB his rookie year but then fell off a cliff the next year. But that's a big exception.

I don't see much in the draft in terms of impact corners.

You can pair a rookie CB with a veteran CB...that would work.

I hadn't heard that we lost Connolly. Did another team sign him? I agree that the offensive line should be a priority along with cb and defensive tackle.

He had like 7 or 8 picks and went to the Pro Bowl.
