I see the trendy assumption that the Ravens still have a pathetic secondary is still out in the air. It's real pathetic that the Ravens were only giving up 119 passing yards a game, best in the NFL. Orton's stats are skewed, he got 100 of those yards and both touchdowns off desperation heaves, one came when they were already down 17-0, and the other came at the end of the game. When it mattered most, the Broncos couldn't throw the ball.
I honestly don't even know or care who the Ravens starting CB's are, because it seems like the Ravens have a musical chairs thing going on in their secondary. If anything, I'm giving the Ravens' scheme a ton of props for being able to hide their weakness. In fact, I think they're the best in the NFL at doing this.
But let's get serious, without their scheme, the Ravens have the one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.
Other than you being a homer I honestly don't know how you can say that the Ravens secondary is going to fall apart. We have a group of corners, while none of them are Darrele Revises, Charles Woodsons, or Champ Baileys, play well as a group together, and they don't even have Ed Reed roaming the field behind them.
Thanks for the good laugh. Obviously, this was your 2nd post so you haven't seen how much I b*tch on this forum. I'm probably the most hated on this forum.
Up until Randygate, I would have said that you guys would have won. But now you have no deep threat, and it is going to hurt you. Teams that dink and dunk don't fare very well against the Ravens defense. You have to beat us deep.
Actually, it's the exact opposite. Brady is at his best when he dinks and dunks his way down the field and throws to the
open receiver.
Other than Welker, defenses know have no idea where Brady is going with the football.
With that said, I don't know what Pats team will come out on Sunday. In fact, it won't shock me if the Ravens score at will on the Pats weak defense.
And one more thing, at this point in their careers, Branden Tate is faster than Moss. But who the hell knows if the Pats will send him on deep routes.
