Whenever we feel sad about our record in drafting WRs, let's remember the Eagles. Here are the premium picks they've used:

2021, DeVonte Smith, 1st Round Pick
2020, Jalen Reagor, 1st Round Pick
2019, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, 2nd Round Pick. Yes, before DK Metcalf
2015, Nelson Agholor, 1st Round Pick
2014, Jordan Matthews, 2nd Round Pick and Josh Huff, 3rd Round Pick

Result: They have passed for the 5th worst number of yards per game, bottom 10 in passer rating, and their offense is to have Jalen Hurts run around.

At least Smith can play. Reagor and Arcega-Whiteside seem to be total busts. And Nelson Agholor, of course, is a valued member of the New England Patriots.

I don't think anyone thought he was special. I think people thought he was CAPABLE of playing well on a Rams team with all those weapons. Unfortunately for him, he's very streaky.

Stafford still reminds me too much of Drew Bledsoe. All talent arm, but decision making and accuracy is questionable. Put a good team around him and he can succeed to a point, but will probably make a boneheaded play in the playoffs to cost them the season. There’s a reason he doesn’t have any postseason victories in 12 years in the league; yeah, he was with the Lions, but if he was all that he could have overcome that an extent.

Like Kirk Cousins, good enough to make you think you’ve solved your QB position, but bad enough not to actually take you anywhere.

The Rams are gonna have a roster devoid of talent in a few years with the way they shed draft picks. They stole from the future to compete this year, which would make sense if the roster actually responded to their aggressive moves with better play, but...
