McDermott has to be on the hot seat if Buffalo has an early playoff exit or misses the playoffs completely.

I don't think they'll make it IMO. Browns and Steelers have the top two spots at 7-4 and then they are still behind Colts, Texans and Broncos who are all 6-5 fighting for the third spot. Bills are 10th in the AFC as of now and then go on a bye next week before coming back to face the Chiefs. The rest of their schedule is tough (Chiefs, Cowboys, Chargers, Pats, Dolphins). Only easy game is Pats game. Even if they play hard and go 3-2 in that stretch they'll only finish 9-8. Would require luck to make the 7th spot with that record. Any worse than 3-2 and there's no shot.

And I would say Pop at this point is a poor man’s Flowers taken 5 rounds later. There’s only a few games to judge Gonzalez and in those games he looked the part of a cb1.
