Maybe I worry too much, but Brady is not taking the offseason seriously. It take more than avocado ice cream and jet-setting to Monaco to prepare your body for the NFL, especially at his age.

It would suck if his season washes out and we miss the chance with Jimmy G.
You can always go root for the 49ers.

Is the media making you think Brady is half assing this offseason in terms of preparation. He’s older now so he has to prepare differently. It should ease your mind that during last weeks camp he was as sharp as ever. He takes football seriously don’t let the media fool you.

As for Jimmy G. Let it go. He’s not here and isn’t coming back. It is a stress you should forget about.

Or Brady gets a season-ending injury. I am worried that he is not taking the offseason seriously; the last time he tried this, he had a season-ending injury. If it happens this season, it will be career-ending.

What? He could’ve lived in the facilities all offseason and would’ve have still been out for the season after that shot to the knee.

So you have been keeping track of his training regimen?

Yeah it's pretty clear if he'd been in better shape he could have just hopped right over Pollard

If only he hired a personal trainer to follow him every where he goes.

I think Brady is preparing his 41 year old mind and body to last a whole NFL season. I honestly don't think he's purposely blowing off training just to draw some line in the Sand. Winning is too important to him.

Its a possibility.

What is also a possibility by not attending OTAs he was making a passive statement about the disrespect the organization has shown him.

That’s stupid, no disrespect intended.
Brady is a grown man who has worked with Belichick for 18 years, at the ultimate level of success. Brady values winning.
To suggest that he is doing something that would reduce his chances of winning in hopes of sending a passive message of you hurt my feelings to a man he can walk up to 24/7 and have his undivided attention is just ridiculous.

What you are mistaking here is that you think what you see from your vantage point is the only means of communication Brady has with Belichick.

I thought of that. He might be doing both....kind of killing two birds with one stone.....not necessarily with the non mandatory camp but may have added the last few days of mini camp for that reason

Well, you have been known to be wrong.

I am always right. I have the track record to prove it. But hey, I do worry too much; maybe Brady will survive the season, but I am worried.

I think that's part of the price he has to pay to Giselle to keep playing. More time with the family and more time building up his future with TB12.

Maybe it's a bit P/A resistance with Belichick. Not necessarily re "disrespect", perhaps more his about the witch doctor being limited.

I'm not worried that an end is in sight, that comes when he can no longer play. By all accounts Brady was doing great, connecting with Matthews and building with Dorsett & Britt.

Speaking of OTAs, does anyone know how many snaps each player got during today's essential, can't afford to miss, OTA session?

yes. JimmayyyG had 20 attempts today. 8 completions. You know what they say...better early than late....

Even though he’s new to the program, wide receiver Jordan Matthews wasn’t complaining about Bill Belichick waving off the final few days of organized team activities.

“It’s always good to have that extra time with family. We work hard as a team and an organization,” he said. “Any time you have a chance to get time off, it’s good.”

Patriots wideout Jordan Matthews not complaining about extra days off

Might as well just cut his ass right now...

It does seem unusual for Bill Belichick to cancel any football activity of any kind, but it’s not like he hasn’t done anything like this before. There have been multiple years where he’s sent the team home early by canceling the final session, just not two like this year.

The coach has said over the years that OTAs and minicamp are more of a teaching camp and like he said last week, it’s about making sure the team is as prepared as possible heading into training camp next month.

Keep in mind, if Belichick didn’t feel the team was ready for training camp, he certainly wouldn’t be sending the team home for the summer early. This is a sign the team accomplished everything it set out to this spring.

While some may look to add this to the list of offseason drama, it’s the furthest thing from it. It’s no big deal.

Hannable: Bill Belichick canceling final 2 OTA sessions isn’t a big deal

Belichick and Hannable: Two people who really need to read Patsfans.com so that they'll know what the hell they're doing and talking about. Teaching time, my ass, right people? Essential practice time was lost!

0-16? They'll be lucky if they don't go 0-20, counting the exhibition games.

The Gisele Factor may be a part of it for sure

What is clear to me is Brady did not think OTAs are as important as he says they are.

It is not unreasonable at all to believe Tom is annoyed by his under market contract or his personal Mr Miyagi has been banned.
