How did Brady build a narrative?
He has not uttered a negative word.
He has missed OTAs. Nothing leading up to that builds any kind of narrative unless you take the media telling you what they think he thinks as the same thing as Brady speaking it, which is ridiculous.

And from what Kraft said it seems like missing these OTAs were agreed upon.

I like this idea that the younger guys are entitled to be mad that Brady isn’t at OTA’s. Like okay master your position for over a decade and a half, become one of five guys to have 3 MVP’s, have the best winning percentage for a player ever, go to the most Super Bowls and win the most, then you can skip OTA’s.

It’s ****ing voluntary and honestly there’s really nothing Brady’s getting out of it.
It isn't about what Brady is getting out of it.

To those arguing that Brady has said things like OTA's are important, need the extra work, etc, etc, keep in mind that Belichick also routinely says he hasn't heard what the media is saying, then uses the media as motivation for his players. So what these guys say publicly is often to avoid having their own words used as motivation or distraction. It's the diplomatic thing to say, but it's not always wise to treat it as gospel, or to use it as some concrete evidence of rifts, changing mindsets, or a reduced dedication to the team.

He build the narrative that puts it all to question himself in the last year. Not the media, not the fans but Brady himself.
Actually it is the media and fans, like yourself, who built up the narrative. Not Brady himself. So far as I can tell he has barely said anything.

You and the media have falsely made him out to be a five year old throwing a tantrum based off some media rumors and him choosing not to join voluntary OTAs.

Who needs these (OTA) reps more - Tom or every other QB under evaluation?

Who needs these (OTA) reps more - Gronk or every other TE under evaluation?

Considering their ability, skill-set and year-round commitment, isn't Training Camp and pre-season enough for these two?

Yes, I know- no OTA today, but this seems to be a message. It's the first Patriots/football-related post he's issued in regard to the upcoming season.

He hates Belichick. The message is quite clear.

Bill walked me to my door last night,
And he said, Before I go
There's something about our love affair,
That I have a right to know
I said, Let's not stand out here like this,
What would the neighbors think?
Why don't we just step inside,
And I'll fix us both a drink.

My team Bill
My, my, team Bill
Can't say enough about the way I feel,
About my team, my team Bill.

William's hands were shaking,
As he took his glass of wine.
And I could see we both felt the same,
And when his eyes met mine,
I said, Who we love and why we love,
It's hard to understand.
Let's just sit here on the couch,
And face this, man to man.

My team Bill
My, my, team Bill
Can't say enough about the way I feel,
About my team, my team Bill.

Bill, you know we just left Patriot Place,
And we both know what they said.
They don't want to see your face,
And they all wish you were dead!
Now, I know we both like Malcolm Butler,
And I guess we always will.
But you're gonna have to knuckle under,
'Cause she's my team, Bill!

My team Bill
My, my, team Bill
Can't say enough about the way I feel,
About my team, talkin' 'bout my Patriots team,
My team, Bill.

I really liked the old Tom who showed up to OTAs instead of flying off to visit Princes. Maybe that's just me.

Who freaking cares? Are you going to care about his OTA absence when he leads this team back to the AFCCG this season? If he was ****ting the bed it'd be a different story. But he is the reigning MVP who should probably have six rings right now.

I got it. There is nothing I can do about it.

So moving onto the regular season.

Go Pats

So, according to Kraft:

Brady's been in touch
Brady will be at mini camp

But let's keep going nuts over an 8 time SB QB who's skipping a few days of voluntary work in May!
