OT: Zach Wilson benched officially

Debacle. They seemed like they were ascending at 6-3. It was a lie. They are frauds. Wilson is a loser in many ways, not just on the field.

The Jete defense a dozen years ago was pretty damn good, and they just needed a QB who wouldn’t mess things up. For all the issues Sanchez had, he managed not to mess it up in those 4 games. Didn’t help them, just didn’t mess it up.
Butt fumble says otherwise.

So I guess the next jets qb is going to have it in their contract to never play the patriots under any circumstance.

So in their last two games the Pats have cost the jobs of one head coach and one opposing QB.

Not too shabby. Somewhat reminiscent of the glory days.
People are sleeping on this defense. They’re making people look completely inept. Kirk Cousins better watch out. He’s not getting benched, but his primetime reputation is already on life support.

I am hoping that tomorrow the defense gives Cousins as much trouble as they’ve given their opponents in the last three games, and the OL decides to physically bully the Vikes especially in the running game. Thorough physical domination on both sides of the ball in a prime time game.

Bill sends another one to the boneyard

This guy is way too old to be this immature saying he didn't let the team down vs the Pats with him not being able to complete basic NFL throws. All he had to do was say the right things and he's probably still the starter. On the other hand, you have Jets players who haven't done jack sh*t themselves, but indirectly taking shots at their teammate through the media.

Saleh needs to get his guys under control.

No, no, no. Saleh needs to let it build, fester and spiral out of control in a veritable tsunami of glorious Jete suckage.

Good on Saleh and the Jets not to fall for the sunk cost fallacy. Wish we had a coach willing to bench his starting quarterback.

Had fun listening to Boomer's NY radio show(on podcast) monday morning. They played the punt retuern call with Zolak screaming afterward for the Jets to board their buses and plane and go back to New York Haha. The talk was that Patriots game was supposed to be a turning point for the Jets where they finally stop losing to the Pats and compete for the division. It was a gut punch. One caller said he did not care if the team wins all the rest of their games, they did not beat the Patriots, he just wanted that win most of all. So the Pats are still playing a Super Bowl every week.

On paper, I think with the switch to Mike White, they are a decent team. The loss of Breece Hall is still a major detriment to their success, but just having a QB capable of being a game manager is a big upgrade. Their defense is really pretty great. (I don't think we are giving the Pats nearly enough credit for moving the ball against them fairly well with a patchwork O-line.) That said, all of the locker room chaos due to this may torpedo any hopes they have of a turnaround.

Good job New England on singlehandledly "Just Ending Their Season".

I wonder if the Jets trade him for a 4th rounder in the off-season two years after drafting him with the #2 overall pick.
Zach seems like the type that will carry the chip as a backup until he's like 35 years old, but by that time not retain the athleticism to do anything about it anymore, through that realization has one great year when the starter gets hurt and then fades into obscurity.

And have more games on offense like the Packers game and the second half of the Bears game? Nah I’m good.
Weird, almost as if Bailey didn’t get to start (and practice and game plan throughout the week knowing he was the starter) those games. Funny how when Zappe actually practiced as the starter throughout the week and knew he was going to start the Patriots offense had their two best offensive performances of the season, really by far. Looked like a completely different (and dominant) team. Now the offense is right back to the same ugly, sloppy crap we’ve been experiencing since the Cam Newton-season.

Giving him captain as a rookie when he acts and looks like a 12 year old boy wasn't the wisest move.
The Jets Coaching Staff ruined him. Got rid of any viable competition, gave him no role models, set him up with a first-time OC, made him captain, got rid of Darnold, some how expected the man-child to just emerge all on his own. Jete fans think they've solved the problem, but, nope, they only addressed half the problem. Mr. Clean stacked the deck in favor of the defense. Mike White ain't gonna do squat.

MormonRyanLeaf won't even be dressing Sunday... Bim announced Flaccid as White's backup vs da Bears during his late-morning PC today...
Charlie Weis earlier & especially Rich Gannon later were each reaming Punky a new one on the Sirius/XM while I was running a pre-Thanksgiving errand... Gannon even believes that McMILFson might still be the starter if he hadn't made those post-game comments, that's how badly he might've fractured the locker room...
Jete have a lot invested in him, and unlike previous years, they've shot their wad on draft picks and having 6 wins means they won't be picking in the top slots this off season. It's hard to see how they recover. They went all-in on Wilson, now they ride or die with Mike White, what a plan!

Dominant? The defenses were dominant in those games. The offenses...meh I wouldn't go that far.

Heard that a lot about Jarrett Stidham too...that all he needed was practice time with the starters. Fans demanded that BB start Stidham to see what he had like he didn't see him every day in practice. BB didn't seem to think Stid was worth starting and that turned out to be the right call. If BB really thought Zappe was a better QB than Mac Jones he would be starting now. No question about it.

Zappe is a backup QB who hasn't earned or proven a thing beyond that. If he struggles this much playing in relief of the starter then why is he in the league?
