Agree. For all the flack we give Baltimore (and never forget RLKAG), they are one of the best run franchises in the NFL, having ownership with long term commitment and vision, a solid GM, and on top of that one if the best QBs in the game. When’s the last time an opportunity like that opened up? Maybe Indy in 2009 when Bill Polian (ugh) was still holding Jim Irsay at bay and was still producing good drafts? Otherwise I’d say 2007 when the Steelers hired Tomlin.
Yep. That is an ultra dream job right there. They will have their pick of the litter. Too bad there aren't that many options. Good thing NE scooped up Vrabel last year. I'm sure he would have been very tempted by this job.

Franchise QB…. What’s the furthest he’d gone ? It’s not like he’s played w trash during his career…
Two MVP's (nearly three), 3x all pro, and can clearly be a game changer. If he is not a franchise QB than who is?

The Ravens will get so many calls from coaches looking to interview.

So, John Harbaugh was fired because his rookie field goal kicker didn't pay attention to the Steelers' kicker who moment before kicked an extra point wide right, which looked like it was wind-affected.

Definitely correct -- head coach completely responsible for kicker failing to notice prevailing conditions.
That miss was more than just the wind. But I take your greater point; can't blame the coach for that kick.

I dunno, it's a tough decision... it's just so hard to ignore his utter collapse in the post-season. It isn't even really teamwide collapses, with the defense typically keeping the scoring low. Lamar has a hard time scoring more than 20 in any big game he's in, it seems.
His passing rating drops from 102 in the regular season to 84 in the playoffs.

So Harbaugh got canned. He’ll have a job in a week if he wants it. Means another team I’ll have to hate

If both kicked wide right due to the wind, the wind was in different directions at each end of the stadium

Not necessarily, the wind could have been swirling around the stadium...still should have known the wind condition at that endzone.

I get this + an ‘ugh’…. Who the F cares about MVP awards and bs ? Like who wants Marino or LJ’s running, injuries, and excuses ? It’s all part of their problem. LJ is a huge part of their problem. Any damned fool can make the playoffs over those 7 years with that talent, but it’s all useless if you are a mediocre playoff performer.

LJ :

Win % 75% regular season. 37.5% playoffs.
Passer rating 98 to 75
TD / INT ratio 3:1 to 1.4:1
Turnovers low to 13TD vs 11TO

That’s not good for someone making ungodly money. He’s a problem. The regular season is for losers. Heroes are made in the biggest games and LJ has been a loser.

LJ is incredibly overrated. I know he was hurt this year but that doesn't change anything.

Harbaugh had a good run in BAL. He'll land somewhere.

I am really surprised to see this happen. I figured with the injuries and the recent successful seasons that Harbaugh would be safe.

This has to be the best job on the market now.

Meanwhile, perhaps we can assume he'll share whatever pertinent Pats intel he has with his brother.

Derrick Henry
Nah, Lamar has annually been near last in pass attempts because the more he passes the worse it is for the Ravens.

Ravens only get worse from here. There's not many coaching upgrades to a Harbaugh.

I wouldn't want the job. Lamar Jackson's cliff is coming up fast. And when he goes off it, whoever's the head coach is probably going with him.
