Very misleadingly written article.

That phrase could be used to describe the better portion of PFT's articles ove rthe last few years

That would be very jest kind of move
The Jets are in such a Jetsy spot. They have too much invested in a veteran QB who has fallen apart. They are too low to pick a good QB draft pick. They're terrified of picking high because of the last two times they picked high. It's amazing to say, but they're in an even worse spot than the Browns.

Is he Quinn Ewers staying or going?? I like Jaxson Dart and Will Howard.
I heard Ewers is staying. But I don't expect much from him in the pros anyway. He'll be Colt McCoy-ish.

I was high on Howard even before he made the portal move to OH State. The trajectory of his improvement year to year is very positive. He learns and applies it and gets better.

Titans - Need a QB, probably draft Cam Ward at #1
Browns - Need a QB, Watson is done-zo, have #2 pick
Giants - Need a QB, have #3 pick
Raiders - Need a QB, have #6 pick
Jets - Need a QB, have #7 pick
Saints - Carr is there but they're probably looking, have #8 pick
49ers - Purdy is on his final year, if they don't wanna pay him they might be in the market, have #11 pick
Colts - Richardson stinks, they probably are in the market, have #14 pick
Seahawks - Geno is not a franchise guy, they may be in the market. This one's iffy though
Pittsburgh - Need a QB, Wilson nor Fields are the guy

Seems like potentially 10 teams that could be in the market for a starting QB
How has Spencer Rattler looked for the Saints?

Very misleadingly written article.
Yea it was bi-directional in message. He bashes him for not closing out games at the end of the year but praises him as well.

He kept the seat warm for McCarthy but it's still in their best interests; and Darnold's to figure out a contract to remain in MN.

A failed QB does not suddenly become great in year 7. It was always a matter of time.

Now you can argue that it was only 1 or 2 bad games but it is more likely an outlier season where everything worked out till they came up against a very good defense plus the pressure of the playoffs that shows what players are made of.

What happens to Cousins? He has a no-trade clause. Does he get cut or talked into a trade?

I normally would agree, but I think this market will get desperate. Definitely won't be a 50m guy, but I think he definitely could be getting a deal like Baker got from Tampa from somebody out there
3 years 80/ 50 million guaranteed.

Maybe a little higher because I think there'll be competition for him.
Sam Darnold is definitely the Top Bridge Guy if a Team plays that angle. Let a Rookie sit behind him for a year or two. Darnold looked really good in the regular season.

He also won't break the bank. Who else are the QB free agents? Russell Wilson. Fields. Brissette. Maybe Cousins. This is a bad time to be without a QB.

Nitpick of the OP, but if Wilson and Fields are in the "cut/traded" list of QBs I think you have to move PIT up to the list that "absolutely" needs a QB.

The Browns already have a lot of money invested in Watson so I think they're going to go the draft route to balance that.

I think the Jets and the Giants will be out because I don't think Darnold will want to go back to NY if he has options.

He's a west coast guy so I can see Vegas BUT Brady is so crazy about QB play I could see him as owner not wanting to pay big for a guy who he probably thinks is a fraud at the position.

I think Colts/Steelers/Titans make the most sense if he doesn't go back to MIN.
1. Yeah, I had that thought. I guess with having both on their team the previous year, I had in my head that they may just run it back with Fields. Probably could put them in the absolutely category.

2. Agreed. That and/or a cheap veteran route. Maybe a Zach Wilson, Justin Fields.

3. Agreed with the Jets. I think he would consider the Giatns, especially if New York begins to realize they won't be able to take Ward/Sanders.

4. Agreed as well. I don't know what they'll do at QB, but I have a hard time seeing Brady signing onto paying him a big contract? Pre Brady?: Absolutely a Raider move.

5. Yes on Colts/Steelers. I think Titans draft a QB no matter what at #1.

I think he gets more than you think, because there will be 2-3 teams that will far prefer him over the second choices available. (Rodgers, Cousins, Wilson, etc.)

Ha. That's what I was saying to @Toofy! I just think he gets more than we think, but he's also not in the Cousins/Falcons contract range from last year.

Both basically sat for a year too that could be a blessing. Both have all the physical tools Wilson have the Former Jets QB angle going for him like Geno and Darnold.

I think the Steelers might be stuck and have to roll the dice on another year with Russell Wilson or Fields.

Generational talent at WR can make people overachieve. Look at the QBs who had Randy Moss, and the guys who had Jerry Rice post Montana/Young

A better situation doesn’t exist for Darnold

Justin Fields didn't play bad for the times he played last season.
