Out of the first 150 players taken in the draft, ONE will be picked by Washington (53)! No 1st-rounders, no 3rd-rounders, no 4th-rounders! Imagine waiting to make a 2nd-round pick, then going home until the 5th round!

A very different way to build a team from the Patriots' model....

P.S. The Jets get 8 picks in the first 150.

I would suspect Washington becomes an ideal trade partner for us to trade to for picks next year. This years 3 for next years 2, or something like that. They may be desperate enough to throw that 5 into a deal on top of the charted value.

It shows why the Redskins are in a cycle of being good for a couple of years, then being terrible for a couple as they're stuck in Cap Jail.

Good point! I doubt the 'Skins feel that they've plugged ALL their holes through free agency. Slide 'em a 5th for their 4th next year. Right on AJ!

The Skins better hope that Jason Campbell to Brandon Lloyd becomes the premier QB/WR duo in the NFL, because they've cost the Skins the better part of 2 drafts.

And Brandon Lloyd is thus far refusing to sign an extension, so it could be all that for one year.

Miami doesn't have a lot of total picks either.

The Dolphins have their 1st, 3rd, 4th and 3 7ths. They don't have any picks in the 2nd, 5th and 6th rounds.

our 5 to the fins (lions want a 5) for their 4 next year?

Rock and a hard place...

They will also have to cede one of those remaining ones for Harrington of Detroit. There is a glaring need on the O line for Miami. Without a second there will be no LOT candidates available by the 3rd. The third, may go for Harrington directly as a third, or with a fourth or fifth in return.

LJ Shelton was cut outright by Dennis Green in AZ, and now RAC let him walk from the Browns, who really don't have a guy lined up in his place. He might make Damion McIntosh who the Phish gave up on, look good by comparison. Saban MUST be thing LOT like Winston Justice or Daryl Colledge with his 1st rounder.

The Redskins sound a lot like the baseball team to the north who play in the Bronx, Steinbrenner...Snyder, their methods are similar.

Love that train of thought Andy. Make them beg and then get more.

Anyways...I will be disappointed if we don't trade 1 pick for a higher round next year. That's something Belichick probably always wants to do also. But I expect it now...perhaps double that and trade 2 for 2 better.

I was referring to how they built their teams with big cash, do you really think I did not know the difference, where does the ...cki.. moron come from??

Amen, GJA, Patsworldchamps was pathetically mean for throwing an unsolicited bomb like that. What is his problem? When someone invents some nastiness out of thin air, it's usually the product of extreme loneliness or an unfulfilled prescription.
