OT Tyrod Taylor?

Buffalo is full of talent on O and on D. And they have Tyrod Taylor as their starting QB. It's like having 52 picture perfect TVs in your living room and they are all stuck on whatever channel it is that broadcasts the Kardashians. And there is nothing you can do except watch and wish it could be different.

As Mike Rodak said, they have a good defense and running game. what they need is a reliable qb that doesn't make mistakes. Oh, what the hell, let's roll them dice instead!

Rexy opts to make a splash and flame out, as all run first QBs do. Having said that, Taylor doesn't seem awful, just not real good. Target practice for the new patriots rush from everywhere defense,anyway.

No seen much of the guy. I remember us blowing Baltimore out and his centre (Gradkowski?) snapped one past him and we got a TD.

The fact I haven't seen him since says he is no Kyle Orton.

I think I'm a bit more concerned about target practice for their pass rush, if I'm being honest.

I think this is a good move by Rex. Taylor won the job competition and he starts the season. Great piece of advertising for the next FA that is languishing on the bench somewhere. Rex started him over the former 1st and a Vet FA making 5 mill.

Take away his first read, and he'll run. Keep contain and you'll be fine. Unfortunately, the Patriots don't always do that, but I think with Sheard at DE instead of Ninkovich, the chances for success will improve.

He was a good college player on a loaded team. I'm not entirely sure what Rex sees in him, unless they're going to become the GA Tech of the NFL.

Which, while they have a pretty good backfield to do it, is a waste of their talents at WR, for sure. I'm really surprised EJ Manuel didn't win the job, to be honest.

From what I've heard, BUF's O-line is the weakest in the AFC East, so having a QB that runs might not be a bad thing from their point of view.

Rex is an idiot. He destroyed one team that was handed to him in pretty good shape, and somehow got another chance with a team on the rise, that he will screw up again.
By November he will be trying to trade for Geno Smith.

I was all but forced against my will to watch some VT games back a couple years ago.
Unless Taylor had a huge jump in his passing skillset since then or VT simply wasn't letting him showcase his passing skills, unlikely but possible, this is as TommyD posted: run first. At VT Taylor was in significant part a run or throw jump balls QB. Anytime a D took the run away VT's goose was cooked.

Again unless he has developed a passing game he hasn't shown before, if you keep this guy from gouging you with his legs, the Bills will typically win more of the 13 to 10 type scores. Any team that scores a good amount will likely beat the Bills on most occasions.
With the Kaepernicks and RGIIIs running threat presumably no far from being a surprise to DCs, I'd be surprised if Taylor can find a path to consistent winning.
Either way we will soon find out....

Watch the superbowl though. Tyrod is closer to Wilson than Flacco. Ninko was extremely disciplined, compared to Jones.

Wilson's not a run-first QB though. He's a lot more like Flacco than Tyrod Taylor is. Although Wilson can read both sides of the field.
