Those are the same people that ***** about missing on 4th rounders.People are really criticizing the Patriots for not keeping Stid and making him starter? Lol
ok cross Brady to vegas out now..
Seriously? Anyone buying into Stidham now is a total fool. And the Raiders won't be stupid enough to think a marginal backup quarterback is the answer either.ok cross Brady to vegas out now..
My only issue was not letting Stidham get a couple starts down the stretch in 2020. We had nothing to play for and it was obvious Cam was toast so why not take a look at a young guy and see if he is even worth keeping around as a backup behind the next guy? Even if Stidham came out and flat out sucked it would have at least improved draft position. Honestly I still think there was some sort of wink and nod deal with Cam that season that he gets to play if healthy and that is why Cam signed for peanuts.People are really criticizing the Patriots for not keeping Stid and making him starter? And honestly even if a guy goes nuts in year one or year two, it's like a 50-50 chance that it's just a flash outlier year before teams figure them out and they go back meh. We've seen this countless times where a young guy gets hot early and then never does anything close to that again. Kaepernick, Wentz, RGIII, Mayfield, Goff, etcQB is a position that typically demands repetition and experience to get right. Guys who light it up Year One are exceptionally rare.
I wouldn't put Goff in that category. Horrible rookie year. Good for a couple of years in LA and also 2 not so good years and has been resurrected in DET.And honestly even if a guy goes nuts in year one or year two, it's like a 50-50 chance that it's just a flash outlier year before teams figure them out and they go back meh. Stidham wasn't good with the Patriots, but the sample size was small. I would have liked to have seen him start and play a whole game after having a week of practice with the first team. That never happened. Cam's body of work was extensive, and poor. I guess Bill let Cam play that last game against the Jets so Cam could put up good numbers and justify Bill's offseason resigning of him.He sucked too. Just less
I’m guessing that was a collaborative choice between Josh and Bill.My only issue was not letting Stidham get a couple starts down the stretch in 2020. Going nuts in year one or two is not a guarantee of future success. I'd dare say it considerably raises your odds though. And honestly even if a guy goes nuts in year one or year two, it's like a 50-50 chance that it's just a flash outlier year before teams figure them out and they go back meh. The second one wasn't his fault. He was hit as he threw. It's one game. Any QB can look great for one game or a stretch. Heineke in Washington is another guy. He still threw 2 interceptions.
It's almost as of coaching and play designs matter. Where Brock purdy and Stidham can look capable.

And just what exactly is wrong with holding Billy & Al Groh’s kid accountable when he blows Multiple draft picks out of his ASS every. dam. year? Those are the same people that ***** about missing on 4th-rounders.
IMO there was nothing left to evaluate. They see this guy in practice all the time and let’s face it in the opportunities he did get he didn’t impress anyone so the writing was on the wall. I doubt anyone was saying the Patriots made a mistake not naming this guy the starter for our team until a few days ago. He has a really strong arm but that’s about it.I’m not speaking for anyone else; all I know is that Stid should’ve started the final game of the utterly hopeless 2020 season, when trying to win a completely meaningless game against another hopeless team should Never, EVER have taken precedence over player evaluation. But Papa Bear still beckoned, and Billy’s obsessed with the Jete, so To Hell with T-E-A-M…
4th rounders have a 10% success rate. Losing ones **** every year over it is ridiculous. And just what exactly is wrong with holding Billy & Al Groh’s kid accountable when he blows Multiple draft picks out of his ASS every. dam. year?
Letting a potential franchise QB go regardless the round is painful.4th rounders have a 10% success rate. Losing ones **** every year over it is ridiculous.
