I know a girl who passed out and drowned in a hot tub.
Doesn’t make it more or less sad just where my mind goes.
Reading about the strong currents is super sad.

A poster on this threat mentioned the Tides earlier.According to the National Weather Service, there was/is no rip tide warning issued. Where are you reading this?
There have been rip currents on the Atlantic side as well, it was an issue this past weekend, and the red flags were up. We also heard some people talking who also said it was a little strong. So while there may not have been an advisory, it's definitely been something that people have needed to be wary of.Apparently there have been 11 deaths recently in the Panhandle due to rip currents. I have seen news stories about a couple of the drownings and people have been arrested for entering the water when it was prohibited
