OT: Reich fired

This is suggesting Eagles Brian Johnson gets a HC job next season which could happen.
Yes that's right. I'm sure he'll garner interest. We will also be looking for a new OC next season. I read that BOB was looking to possibly go back to the NCAA or seek another HC opportunity in the NFL.

You have to give a year for a rookie QB, Aikman was 1-15, Manning was 3-13 IIRC. There aren't many who step into ideal situations like Big Ben with a great defense, solid OL and a running game. Carolina is bereft of all....

Two straight years that they have fired a coach during the season.

They (as it looks now) botched the #1 OA pick.

No picks going forward

Owner seems to be meddlesome

They might have the worst future going forward. Pretty much gifted the Bears Caleb
That Bears situation will be interesting. I can see them getting #1, which attracts Jim Harbaugh. Justin Fields has been playing well enough that he is probably worth a 2nd rounder at least to someone, maybe a 1st. Then they draft Caleb Williams and still have a top 5 pick of their own, a top 60 pick of their own and whatever they get back for Fields. Plus a crap ton of cap space. Definitely set up to make some moves.

so when Buffalo cans McDermott, will Reich be the next saviour?
That would actually be a cool full-circle storyline that I'd be rooting for if it wasn't the Bildos.

Here's hoping they rally around their new coach and win a game for once.

That's my hope. They get that new coach bump and win a game or two down the stretch.
They've got 4 divisional games left. I don't see it but maybe.

Everyone constantly sees the mess teams go through hiring coaches I for the life of me don't see why so many of you are ready to line up for this sort of thing.
Because we've tried it for 4 seasons and it got worse. Continuing to do the same is insanity. Scrap the entire E-P system and bring in Offensive minded coaches w/ a GM that has a good resume or has worked for some of the best (PHI, SF, KC, BUF).

You hope a new coach somehow gets them like three wins or something. Saints/Bucs/Falcons are not good teams.

Is Young a good QB?

Agreed. Don't know what kind of offense Naggy is running in KC.. but they look vulnerable this season. Philly is on a mission. I think it's going to be Philly and Baltimore in the superbowl.
Need to see Lamar get it done in crunch time, especially in the playoffs. He turtled last night. He had multiple chances to blow that game open from late 2nd quarter on and couldn't. He had what 3 chance in the last 4 or 5 minutes in the first half. Now admittedly he got that 1st down and the refs blew the call and Harbaugh blew it by not challenging it. And then of course Tucker missed a 48 harder or so.

But despite that he really struggled to complete passes from the middle of the 2nd quarter on. That won't get them to the SB. Especially when it's against a 4-6 team with banged up defense.

That's a bad team, with a new coach in his first year, with a rookie in his first year... and still, the owner fires him at 1-10.

Kraft, take a look at how you change course when your team is the laughing stock and has only gotten worse over the last 4 years.

I don't care for the arbitrary length of time. To me it comes down to the fact that our coach is better than anything we can get if we fire him. And the 4 seasons to me doesn't mean as much since we wasted 3 of them on Mac. I fully believe with a functional QB this team and system would still run just fine. The trick will be finding someone who is well above functional so that we can get back to competing at the highest level. Mac is way below functional.

I don't really hold Cam against him so rather than looking at it as 4 or even 5 failed seasons (counting Brady's last) I see it as one failed attempt at finding the next franchise QB and I am more than willing to give him a second chance.

By my math I think it's fair to criticize for letting Brady walk (we don't know the exact details and who has more blame him or Kraft but I'm not letting him off the hook). I think it's fair to criticize for drafting Mac, I think it's fair to criticize only have 2 wins. I think drafting I. General is fair to criticize. Everything else I just see as piling on. And for me these don't yet rise to the level of firing someone so accomplished.

Just how I see it. Brady alone might be enough for someone else to be ready to fire him but not me yet.

Not by the looks of it.

But it's hard to properly evaluate him with junk around him.

Brees is 6'0. Stroud is 6'3 I think. Based on this photo Young's real height can't be more than 5'10. The trade up to that spot for a midget wasn't the best idea.

I'm not going to judge Caleb off that I'm watching tapes some midgets can play.

I wouldn't mind Fields for a Second Rounder I don't think he's worth a First at this time.
