OT: Raiders WR Henry Ruggs fatal suspected DUI crash; (update: Desean Jackson to replace him on Raiders…lol)

Wasnt it his second year as well dude will be working at McDonald’s when his out which that bum deserves. I really hope his Bama teammates in the nfl don’t help him out man
From everything I’ve heard Saban runs a tight ship at Alabama and definitely does NOT overlook transgressions the way that somebody like Urban Myer does. And the support system is excellent at Alabama to help these players reach their potential.

…But, after being in such a super structured environment in college at Alabama you have the occasional player who goes hog wild in a freer pro environment without that structure. Trent Richardson has frankly admitted that was the case with him. It happened to Rolando McClain (who also was drafted by the Raiders) too. And, of course there is no more “anything goes” and “what happens here stays here” environment than Las Vegas. Too bad for Riggs and his victims he simply couldn’t handle it

I really wonder if this is just the beginning of a parade of Raider players who destroy their careers in that wild Las Vegas environment.

156 mph? That is unreal.
In fairness to him, he was just trying to qualify for the NHRA. If she had been a more defensive driver, and looked for cars traveling at airliner speeds, this would have never happened.

Henry Ruggs attorney is asking if it’s okay to use your published web post in legal filings.

This has to be unprecedented. Two top-20 picks released a year later for personal issues. Yeah, moving the “bad boys” to Las Vegas - and not changing the personnel philosophy - was a great idea
All that matters to the NJFL is that one of the 32 got richer by duping tax payers into paying for another monument to the ultra-rich, a stadium.

The rest is at best collateral damage, the cost of doing business.

I think your argument is actually better than this one. Wow.

It might be. Jesus. This part, too…

Records show he owns a $1.1 million home not far from where the crash occurred.

The family will get nothing out of him because he’s already probably close to broke.

I’m not sure adding Jackson replacing him / lol is the direction we want to go here. I’m usually all for a good laugh, but this story is sad and frustrating. There is no laughing out loud here.

I’d rather the title remain somber.

who are these lawyers? Complaining that the fire department was slow? Maybe they should have driven 153 mph.

Atthis point, Riggs would be better off hiring Kontra rather than whoever this clown is.

It sure seems to me the car was fully engulfed in flames before any firefighters got to scene. I really don't see how they could have done anything to save the woman.

I looked up the law, and the prosecution has to prove Ruggs was the proximate cause
of the death. So death alone isn’t necessarily enough to prove DUI felony resulting in death.

This seems to be the only possible defense: a technicality where they can try to argue the fire dept negligence was the cause, or at least enough to sow reasonable dount. Don’t think it will work though. And just makes everyone further want maximum justice.
