OT: Philip Rivers moves his family to Florida

'Nuff said....

Good decision on his part. Florida is a great place to live, though the population influx has been making it less so.

I am amused at the belief that football players (especially African-American ones) and their families would greatly prefer to live in Boston rather than in Florida.
Florida has areas that are Cambridge-level progressive (Miami and all 90 miles north to Jupiter), and also has vast rural areas where it looks like maybe they are still living in the 1950s.

So... it just depends upon the location.

Seems like finally the Chargers said ok enough, Phillip, GTFO

That could be the only possible reason for someone moving out of California.

Breaking news: Florida starts gofundme to pay for Rivers’ vasectomy.
It’s the right state for it. These freakin’ billboards are *everywhere* down there

After that many vasectomies Doug must be pretty sore.

Great spot for Philip and his 10 kids.

.

Florida man falls short in comeback bid; reaches red zone but throws third interception with 35 seconds remaining.

No needle; no scalpel. Wishful thinking?

How can you tell the difference?

I'm curious too.
My wife wants me to get one I'm not a fan
There are benefits to getting snipped.

Rationalize it this way.

Cost of child 0-18 years: $250k
4yr College: $250k
Misc: $40k

You are in n out in 1/2 hr and need to sit on the couch for a few days afterwards. Don't lift anything heavier than a remote control. Only thing unpleasant are frozen peas on your sack.

Rivers to Tampa Bay?

The Winston experiment has run it course.

We have three sons
It's the thought of knowing what will happen to my nuts the needle incision the burning.
It's really hard to mentally get past it.

Will he be known as "Florida Man" henceforth???

Google “Florida Man” and the month and day of your birthday. The first news article that comes up is what kind of Florida Man you are.

I had it done the fall before last. There can be other minor complications but all-in-all it's still a good decision if you're done with kids. If the anesthetic is not as effective as it should be (as was my case...) it can be pretty unpleasant during the procedure but at least it is brief. My insurance picked up a good portion of it, I paid about $300 I think.

Educate yourself on the potential long-term side effects. One recent study concludes vasectomy = increased risk of developing prostate cancer: Vasectomy and Prostate Cancer Risk: A 38-Year Nationwide Cohort Study. - PubMed - NCBI "Vasectomy is associated with a statistically significantly increased long-term risk of prostate cancer. The absolute increased risk following vasectomy is nevertheless small, but our finding supports a relationship between reproductive factors and prostate cancer risk."

vasectomy?...considering the number of CL's posting here, I'd have guessed an addadicktomy more appropriate...
