Wasn't he hanging out with Brady the other day? Maybe it's more of that insidious Gisele juju sapping his testosterone.Lulwut
LOL @ Joe Buck calling golf
“THAT’S STUNNING!”
I say the same thing about him calling football. His old man could call football -- he can't.Why is he of all people announcing golf?
Annoying ***clown.

I didn't care much for his explanation. If you lose your cool, admit it like a man, apologize, and move on. Don't act like a Jete and make a stupid excuse. Now he's gonna deal with feedback forever, and he will deserve it.
How is that not a penalty? Thus, he signs an incorrect scorecard and is DQ'ed. Oh well, Eddie Haskell escapes again. It's actually interesting what might happen here. Feels like he exposed this tournament and this golf course and for that reason it's surprising they haven't DQ'ed him.
If he's not DQ'ed what's stopping other players from doing the same thing, accepting a 2 stroke penalty for a much easier putt instead of a 6 putt or worse. Especially on this course. Kind of like the whole argument around the NFL and DPI being a spot foul or 15 yards. If the latter then it's a no brainer that if you're beaten commit DPI and take the 15 yarder instead of a long completion...
It WAS a penalty, two strokes, and he knew it. He signed the scorecard with the penalty applied. How is that not a penalty? Thus, he signs an incorrect scorecard and is DQ'ed. Oh well, Eddie Haskell escapes again.
I say that about anyone even watching golf. A perfect match. Why is he of all people announcing golf?

Meh. I think folks are overreacting to this.I didn't care much for his explanation. If you lose your cool, admit it like a man, apologize, and move on. Don't act like a Jete and make a stupid excuse. Now he's gonna deal with feedback forever, and he will deserve it.
Millions of people do.I say that about anyone even watching golf. A perfect match.
He did it out of anger, not out of strategy. What stops other players from doing it is that even if we set aside the anger and sportsmanship issue, from a pure standpoint of gameplay, it is just not a smart move for a professional. It is ridiculous to think a pro would do better with one stroke of a ball in motion (plus 2 stroke penalty) than he would with letting it roll off the green and having 3 strokes to do just as well. It's actually interesting what might happen here. Feels like he exposed this tournament and this golf course and for that reason it's surprising they haven't DQ'ed him.

I sort of agree, until his reaction. It seems worse (in this particular "gentlemen's sport", anyway) to intentionally & thoughtfully break a rule (with no qualms about it) then it is to have a lapse in judgement / hothead moment.Meh. I think folks are overreacting to this.
