OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Well Bucs fans needs Baltimore to knock of the Packers! As for the Ratbirds, they'll drop another game or 2 along the way that brutal schedule! I wouldn't be least bit of surprised if they lose to the Squealers next Sunday! All the Pats has to do is hold up on their end!

No, the Pats don't control their own destiny. They need the Ravens to lose at least once if they want the 1 seed. And it's not a brutal schedule for them - Green Bay possesses the best chance at beating them. Where do YOUR loyalties lie, exactly? Pittsburgh beating Balt? The same team that got blown out by the Bengals? LOL

The Ravens are a team that can lose to anyone on any week. Just watch them play.

And the Pats winning out is not guaranteed either. Even if the Ravens lose to PItt or the Rams, the Pats could lose to Buffalo or Indy. Therefore, we need the Ravens to lose as many games as possible.

Screw Bucs fans, especially when their rooting interest conflicts with New England's path to the playoffs.

I can understand (somewhat) Patriots fans cheering for the Bucs last year so that Tommy could get a ring outside NE and prove he's not a system QB, but now that he's accomplished that, the continued cheering of the Bucs this year doesn't make sense to me.

The Brady bobos are free to worship at this altar, he remains a great QB. Personally I feel that ship has sailed although I do enjoy poking fun from time to time, especially at Easy Chair Arians. Where I draw the line is when it conflicts with Patriots interests, this being a Patriots message board after all.

Lol. You could not stand it that Patriots fans cheered for Brady last year.

The Ravens will probably not win out (taking the Packers game out of the equation.) I’ll root for the Packers over the Ravens, provided the Patriots haven’t essentially sealed their position over the Ravens, but I think you’re overrating the Ravens regardless. They haven’t been dominant at all, nor do they have great QB play that usually goes hand in hand with a great win/loss record despite a so-so point differential. In other words, they’re been lucky.

Their schedule is:
@ Steelers
@ Browns
Packers
@ Bengals
LA Rams
Steelers

I think 3-3 is a decent possibility here. Can’t imagine many teams have a tougher stretch run than this.

Lol. Yoi could not stand it that Patriots fans cheered for Brady last year.

That's because you worshipped Brady over the Pats

I don't see the Rams coming into Baltimore and beating the Ravens in December. Maybe if the game were at home in LA. Baltimore already walloped the Bengals, and despite yesterday's big win over Pitt, I don't see them beating the Ravens either. The Steelers can't even beat Detroit. And like I said, the Pats beating Buffalo X 2 and Indy is not a given, so the more Ratbird losses there are the better.

No way on 5-1. We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. Almost all these games will be somewhere in the 45-60% range for win probability. The only game on here where they’ll be favored by more than that is the past game vs. Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh may be do or die for postseason.

So the people who demanded that the Brady thread be moved out of their sight because it was a distraction still get to come in and tell us we’re bad for rooting for Brady. Sorry Ian but your site is moderated by a bunch of hypocrites but hey maybe they donated money so they have the secret rules list.

I don't get how people don't understand that they don't have to be married to a single team forever. Especially if you are not from the area or have no NFL team in your area. If for example, you are a fan of the Lions, it would be stupid to just root for that dumpster fire of a franchise. Or the dumb Jets, who just put in any hotshot rookie QB without proper development and team support.

I still root for the Patriots because they are an amazing franchise and it was a classy breakup with Gronk/Brady.

Pat's needed to rebuild in 2020 due to several years of bad draft and cap issues.

Brady and Gronk, didn't have the time left to waste on a rebuild.

A great win-win situation. And the fact that the rest of the NFL allowed Mac to fall in the Pat's lap is unbelievable.

I suspected Mac was going to be the best QB of the draft. The main reason was the similarities between him and Brady. Not a runner and not the strongest arm. Thus, he like Brady is forced to play in the pocket, quickly release the ball, and process quickly. He played at such a high level without the elite athletic gift the other 4 QBs picked ahead of had. I can't think of any other good QB that reminds me of Brady.

I thought Mac would be a top 10-15 QB but he is exceeding that. Again similar to Brady.

I'd follow the Pat's more but I'm stepping back from football once Brady/Gronk is gone. Rooting for Mac would hook me for another 20 years. And yes Mac would be 1A to Patriots 1B. I'm a player 1st fan.

You'd better hope not. Patriots fans need the Packers to beat Baltimore. Otherwise, we don't get the bye because there are very few teams left on Baltimore's schedule capable of beating them.

LOL. Weren't you the one on the Other Games thread rooting for the Colts yesterday when it was in the Pats best interest for the Bucs to win?

There's no way on God's green earth that the Ravens go 5 - 1 with that brutal stretch of games

I really don't understand this sentiment at all. Brady was OUR QB for 20 years helping to win 6 SBs and become the undisputed GOAT. A Pats board is the perfect location to still follow and root for him as I see his success in Tampa as just an extension of his career success in NE. I mean this thread/sub forum was moved off the main board specifically to no conflict with Pats threads, so why come here if you don't like it?

Why do you insist on clowning yourself in a thread where you claim not to have interest? I mean, do you just randomly punch yourself in the balls at home, too?

I was on another Pats board not that long ago and there was the same group of people there who claimed they didn't care about Brady but could not stop posting on him to tell everyone how much they were no longer rooting for him. It is really bizarre.

Very small chance for 4 receivers with 1000 yards, a 28-3 chance.

Godwin is on pace for 1245 yards.
Evans is on pace for 1074 yards.
Gronk averages a whopping 108 yards on the 3.5 games he played and is on pace for 1026 yards.
AB averages 84 yards in his 5 games and is on pace for 920 yards.

Hope Gronk and AB can play all the last 6 games. Brady will likely have to average about 320-350 yards for a chance.

All the talk today appears to be the Colts blew it by not running Taylor more. I could not disagree more. The TOs is what killed them. Wentz was on fire until Barrett and Winfield changed the game.
