OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

If I were either Bill or Tom I'd look at it the same way I would if I were accused of cheating on my wife. If I didn't do it I wouldn't give a sh!t what people think.
But would that cost you $235,294 even if you didn't do it?

If the JAGS have 6 more straight losses they tie Bucs for most consecutive loss record (26).

They've got:
MIA - SEA - BUF - IND - SF - ATL - LAR

Can't see them winning any of those games.

Brady has now started 80 consecutive regular season games, and 14 more in the postseason, for a total of 94 consecutive starts. No other quarterback in the NFL is currently on as long a streak.

If he starts six more games, Brady will have the third different 100-start streak of his career. He started 128 consecutive games (111 regular season, 17 playoffs) from his first start as Drew Bledsoe’s replacement in 2001 until his knee injury in Week One of 2008. And he started 126 consecutive games (112 regular season, 14 playoffs) from his return from that knee injury in 2009 until his Deflategate suspension for the first four games of the 2016 season. (No other quarterback has even two separate streaks of 100 consecutive starts, while Brady closes in on his third.)

With Russell Wilson injured, Tom Brady has longest active streak of consecutive starts at QB - ProFootballTalk

On the Bucs second drive of the game last Sunday, Brady threw a sideline lob to Fournette, but it wasn't a good pass (he wasn't open and it was underthrown.). If you watch that play again, Brown is on the right side and is wide open waving up his arm. He burned Miami's defensive backs on every route.

AB is back to playing like he was in 2017 it’s nuts.

This Tampa offense is a perfect fit for him with a cerebral Qb like Brady. On Jim Gray, Brady called him a football genius. No wonder he hated playing with Ben.

Imagine being Brady every play and trying to determine which open receiver to throw to? Lol

Bucs becoming a respectable franchise. Do they still have the worst win-loss ratio for a sports franchise in the 4 N.AMERICAN professional sports league?

I take it you weren't a Patriots fan between 2010-2013
I started cheering for the Pats in their 1st SB game against the Rams in 2001.

But my number 1 team was whoever Flutie played for. He eventually came to the Pat's and retired a Pat's. I'm a big fan of the players over the franchises starting with Brady. Also a big fan of Gronk and so impressed with AB. I miss Edelman and AB is similar to him with the quick twitch but in addition has afterburners to take any pass to the house.

Pats allowed the offense to sink the last couple years Brady was here and they need to do better with Mac. Look at the Ravens. They did all they could to build their offense around Lamar. He stunk as a passer the 1st couple years, but he developed and now he isn't that bad of a passer in addition to his incredible running.

Come on man! lol. I don't think he hated playing with Ben. Prime Ben is pretty good. Brady is next level though and if he had 1 less WR AB would get 1700 yards if he played all the games.

They do.

AB is averaging 81 yards per game played. He could get 1300 yards if he plays 16 games. He's 33, so I 'd guess that the Bucs don't want to overuse him either. Hope to see some nifty moves and big plays from him tonight.

Tom Brady believes he could play as long as he wants, even to age 55. Physically, that is. But he won’t sacrifice missing that much with his family.

#Bucs inactives: WR Jaelon Darden, S Antoine Winfield, Jr., LB Lavonte David, TE Rob Gronkowski, G Nick Leverett, QB Kyle Trask.

So Bucs' pass offense leads the NFL in plays of 20-plus yards, with 28 in their first five games. Eagles' pass defense has allowed the second-fewest such plays in the league, just eight in five games (only Bills with 6 have allowed fewer).

So Ke'Shawn Vaughn is active tonight for Bucs as a fourth RB, and potentially for work as a gunner on special teams. CBs Dee Delaney and Pierre Desir should also get work on coverage teams since they aren't playing on defense with Sherman/Dean/****rell healthy.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts ranks second among NFL QBs (behind Lamar Jackson) with 256 rushing yards. Bucs defense hasn't allowed a starting QB to rush for 50+ yards once since Arians/Bowles arrived in 2019. Last to do so was Jackson (95 yards) in a 2018 win over Bucs.
