OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Injuries as always in this league are the great equalizer.

The rest of this Bucs schedule other than the Bills game is cake. I think they have enough talent to ride this out. Allen is the best QB they'll face the rest of the way and he can exploit the injury depleted secondary but that game is not until December.

Bills game is also in Tampa.

The schedule is a factor but as an example the Eagles in 2 weeks are no longer a lock. Everyone has been putting up big point totals against them except for us last night and now they are down more DBs. Big pressure on the offense to put up big points and limit turnovers for the next month.

Brady's going to carve Philly's defense up like a turkey on Thanksgiving Day!

The Chiefs defense is on pace to be perhaps the worst of all time. The Bucs arent that bad.

If healthy of course not. The Chief's defense looks horrible though you are right. The AFC is wide open if only we were ready to roll.

Bills are not looking like a one year wonder.

I now think the Bucs will go 14-3. I had thought the Rams and Patriots was their toughest stretch and splitting them would be ideal, but I thought there was a decent chance of 2-2 before the tomato cans.

Two very close wins…where they took their opponent’s best shot and got a little luck down the stretch of these games. And Dallas is that surprise opponent on the schedule who is much better than expected.

Obviously they‘re not playing great, but they came out of it 3-1, and the QB mismatches going forward are much wider.

I'll say 13-4 and they lose a game they really shouldn't along the way. I know alot of people are praising the NE effort and it was good, but you have to credit the TB defense with how they played short handed. This was a good win for them. Everyone has been shredding them for 30 points and we couldn't reach 20.

Yeah, I think they are really happy about how they hold up on D. But in the other end, I think they are pissed on O. Objectively, this game shouldn’t have been close. A lot of missed opportunities in the RZ.

They will clean up the O. They looked like they were trying to not lose instead of winning and just barely missed on a few plays that would of changed the points total by quite a bit. Arians is a blowhard though.

With all the injuries, there is no chance they'll get a bye. So they'll be smart to not rush their starters back.

A 13-4 record is one that they'll gladly take which would be enough to win their division.

Sure they can get a bye. Which games are they going to lose? Which NFC team will win more games? Maybe they’ll unexpectedly lose one of their next four and be 6-2 going into the bye. They’ll get players back healthy.

It's still a very great chance for them to get the coveted bye week! I don't see none of the NFC West teams getting it due them all having to play & beat the crap out of each other! That leaves the Packers who are currently playing the soft part of their schedule! The backend of GB's schedule is pretty brutal as is the Cowboys & the Bucs has the head to head tiebreaker vs them if it comes down to it! The NFC gauntlet will be nothing short of an epic battle all the way through this year!

Tampa proved last year they don't need the bye. Health is #1 and then hitting their stride late in the season.

Not sure how the Bucs won the game with all the thing that went wrong with the offense and the injuries in the secondary. I guess the thing that stands out the most is the turnover differential.

Even though Brady was a bit off, Bucs easily could have scored 30 if not for TD drops on Evan's and Brown, and an untimely penalty that took back a 45 yard catch. Brady's stat line on a below average day could have been 400 yards, 2TD.

Mac was good and will be the best QB of his draft class. The way he was moving the ball down the field against a beat up secondary that is the worst in the league at the moment, how could the Pat's not score 30 points? He needs a receiver that can go deep and/or a red zone threat.

It was a really odd game. Both teams looked good but bad at the same time.
