OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

That’s big.
Yeah Dak needs all the time he can get being his first game back from that nasty injury and the shoulder issue. Tampa will stop Zeke they always stop the run it will be up to their pass protection to have a shot at beating Tampa

Curran predicts for the week 4 game Bucs 23 Pats 20 in OT.

I think that outcome would have to be considered a W for the Pats if that happens even if thats not how it is on the scoreboard. That means the Pats defense without Gilmore was slowing down that offense and Mac and the offense doing more than all right against the best defense he will see this season. The Bucs are a better football team in almost every way and Brady will have the dial turned up to 11 for this game.

I’m thinking Bucs by 3 scores but we’ll see. If Curran is right then the league is in for a treat of a game.

My hope is it's a ball game at least into the 4th quarter. Bucs are the Champs.
Maybe TFB picks this game to be his annual stinker? Probability of that is vanishingly small for Mr Chip On His Shoulder though.

That's probably the only game I can guarantee us losing. Brady won't lose that game and by all accounts his team loves him they'll be pumped to win it for him

Zac Martin the Cowboys starting guard is out vs Tampa due to Covid. Vita Vea going to feast
Brady was right and Bill too for that matter. Covid is going to wreak more havoc this year than last year because the restrictions have been lifted so guys are going to get it - vaxed or unvaxed.

I have no earthly idea how we are going to keep the Bucs to 23 without Gilmore. We may be down Wino too as there are rumors we are looking at trading him.

My hope is Mac is playing in that game and is fully healthy. I have a terrible feeling about his knee and getting Miami in week one is not a good match up. I think Flores is going to bring the sink and the bath tub at him. Of course, on the bright side, if he is able to handle it and make some plays on the blitz or recognize the coverages than I will have more hope going forward but I think the Tampa game is going to brutal no matter how you slice it. I am just glad it will be an NFC loss as that won't really hurt us in the standings tie breaker-wise.

I don't want this thread to devolve into a discussion about the virus, but this needs to be said (your post demands it):

The virus is going to wreak more havoc this year because the NFL put in some very stupid rules, not just (or, probably, even in large part) because some restrictions were lifted.

Bruce Arians has not only made it public that every one in his organization better get vaxxed but ALSO that he’s implementing stricter team rules on player freedom that goes beyond the NFL’s rules and he gives no sh.its what anyone thinks. So the Bucs have an objectively large advantage over other teams including the team up here in Foxboro.

If the Pats season gets compromised because of these ridiculous rules, I may be done with the NFL.

I have to say he has handled this whole thing extremely well. What he is doing is what we used to see from Bill. It is really strange in some ways. It's like having Brady as your Qb makes you smarter. Lol

I don’t know why there’s a need to predict - for a guy like Curran - when the Patriots have the biggest unknowns in the NFL. QB, offense, and somewhat defense are complete question marks. I’ll wait until they’ve played at least one game.

Predicting the scores of individual games that far out has always been ridiculous due to possible injuries and is even dumber during Covid. Curran still gonna stand by that score if Matthew Judon tests positive that week?

Giovani Bernard (ankle) is practicing. S Jordan Whitehead (hamstring) was working with Roger Kingdom on an adjacent field and not practicing.

Good news for the Cowboys: RT La’el Collins (neck stingers) will return to practice today. Bad news for the Cowboys: RG Zack Martin tested positive for COVID-19. He is not expected to play Thursday at Tampa Bay

Only Bucs player not here looks to be defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh, who can come off the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Backup kicker Jose Borregales is still here practicing.

This is the kind of **** that has always worried me about players:

Bucs' Carlton Davis on how he ranks among the NFL's best corners: "If you check the numbers, check the stats, if you check the film, I'm second to none. ... At the end of the day, I know what I did. Fans know. If they don't know, they will know."

If he doesn't actually believe that, and he shouldn't, he should keep his mouth shut rather than basically painting a bullseye on his uniform. And, if he does actually believe that, the Bucs have a CB1 who's delusional and needs some help with his mental health.

Bill is going to rush 3 and flood 8 into coverage. No way he lets Tom light them up. The Bucs will move easily between the 20s. The game will hinge on if they're scoring TDs or FGs

Holding Tampa to 20 points with a pissed off Brady/Gronk/AB lol now include Gilmore not playing that game. TB is lighting it up

Who covers Evans? JC?

So who covers Godwin?
Who covers AB? Gronk or Howard? Bernard?

Tom will pick on the weak link all night long. I suspect that'll be Mills.
