OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Why? Why can’t we still enjoy the player who made our franchise who is still playing well?? It’s really weird

Well, the folks posting on this thread during the Pats game and not on the Patriots GDT is weird, so...

Pretty awkward situation going into the bye. Brady was playing great and moving the ball at will but the Bucs defense single handily kept the Saints in the game by committing a dozen penalties at absolutely awful times. But at the end of the day Brady had the ball with 1:30 left down just 2 points and blew it. Sucks.

Yeah they can’t really lose a game from here if they want ti get the first seed.

Brady played well then poorly then really well then a stupid throw he is going to hate for a while.

He is on track for - 50 TD 10 INT 5300 YDS - he could win the MVP if he doesn’t lose a game from here

70% completion rate, 4 TDs, 375 yards but the buck stops somewhere and he had the ball and made a bad throw or decision and lost the game. Frustrating.

And honestly I find it incredibly weird how trolls come in here going “lol why were you alleged fans not posting in the Pats thread?!” I don’t know maybe because like every game thread for a game the Pats don’t win by 50 half the thread is screaming at each other over how the team sucks? Did it for literally a decade and sure don’t need to do it now if there’s somewhere calmer to talk about something. I was following two games at once. It is physically possible to do.

The bye couldn’t come at a better time. They need to get healthy more than anything. They’re still in the driver’s seat and their schedule is easier than any of the other front runners in the NFC but gotta get their starters and playmakers back to make a real run.

They’ve also gotta be the most penalized team in the league and literally handed the game over on penalties alone. End zone interception, FG drive in the 4th quarter…all happened because of bonehead penalties. I’m confident the team will come back better after the bye just like last season.

I just don’t think they can get the one seed at 14-3 with how scarily top heavy the NFC is. The math is just hard to work out.

Not a good thing. Bucs have reverted to the early 2020 Bucs, undisciplined and drive extending senseless defensive penalties galore. Blitzing yet fail to stop 3rd down conversions. BA needs to stop being Jolly Saint Nick and kick some serious tail. Way too much talent (OK except in the secondary) to lose a game like that. Godwin was awesome.

Ifs infuriating how often the Bucs blitz comes within a single heartbeat of sacking the QB only for him to throw the pass and get the first down.

really not a bad time to have a bye. Get healthy and get a hold of yourselves.

oldest coach to ever win a SB and two time coach of the year. He’s probably making the hall of fame lol

Moronic Boob coaches win Super Bowls. It happens when you have great QB play unless you think guys like Mike Tomlin, Mike McCarthy, Pete Carrol, Tony Dungy, Doug Peterson, and John Harbaugh are actually good.

Since 2000 Id argue only 4 good/great coaches won a Super Bowl. Belichick, Coughlin, Peyton, and Fat Andy. They didn’t win all 21 Super Bowls between them.

Update on Gronk?

You posted too. How weird is that??

A loss to Trevor Siemian…lol

The Bucs - and Brady - are owned by Payton like the Dolphins and Broncos used to get in the Patriots heads. The Saints owned them in the NFCDG too but Brees was horrendous. Even in that game, Brady threw 3/4 passes that were dropped routine interceptions. I’d say I think they’ll win out, but they have to play the Saints again. I actually like their chances against the Bills a lot more than the Saints.

Saints game 2 will be in Tampa with a home field advantage. I’m really not worried about that.

Article from 2019 (and we all know who arrived to save his bacon in 2020).

Arians is one of the worst decision-makers in the NFL, according to a study by EdjSports. The analytics firm released its 2019 coach rankings Wednesday, and Arians placed 31st, above only the Bengals’ Zac Taylor.
