OT: My mother is doing better

Just in time for the holidays. Ever since we got her back after the internal bleeding, she's felt bloated and weak, come to find out that she WAS bloated and weak. Something is filling Mom's abdomen with fluid to the point that she has needed 02 at a couple points because it gets hard to breathe.

No idea what's causing this, but they've already tried draining her system once, took out 5 liters of whatever the hell this stuff is, and the fluid buildup keeps coming back.

And she still managed to do hand drawn Chrismas cards. I have no idea how. but she could really use some prayers that the doctors can figure out what's causing this problem and shut it down.

Had similar symptoms. In and out of the hospital for several months. Ended up having to force the ER’s hand and tell them I wasn’t going home again. I thought I was going to die. Come to find out I had a ruptured gallbladder and was going to die. Fight for your Mom and make sure she gets the best care possible. I wish her the best, and for you all to have a wonderful holiday, albeit a bit unorthodox.

She's 63 and a cancer survivor. Ascites is plausible. But they still need to track down exactly what's failing. Reading up on Ascites it looks like it could be caused by any of half a dozen things

God bless man to u, Mom and family....tough to deal with something like this....especially around holidays...your mom is in my prayers...sometimes it’s hard to figure where excess fluid is coming from....find best specialists ...thinking Mass General ...and get best specialists on the job. George no offense but Sammy is also dealing with tough health situation himself...that was a bit harsh my friend ....in my experience....having a persons name in prayer circles is more PERSONAL, effective and sincere....and can be repeated weekly....prayers to you and mom
