The stomp was intentional in the sense that 94 Lawrence Timmons intentionally used Williams as a piece of solid ground so he could jump after the fumble. I believe he was the one who recovered the ball.

Last year everyone in the media made the Patriots out to be a laughingstick because of the field condition... the league made them replace the field, then later put in Fieldturf. Yet this field is ten times worse. I have heard many explanations of why (they replaced the field two days ago and didn't have time to do it right) but haven't heard anyone criticize the Steelers for it. That's ridiculous... the fact that they replaced the turf 2 days ago knowing it wasn't going to be right, and hoping they could get by with it, has produced a travesty. The Steelers should be ashamed. I wouldn't doubt Goodell will force them to put in Fieldturf now.
