Journalism is a super scummy profession. American culture would be 100 times improved if everyone collectively despised journalists, and journalists were too embarrassed to tell people what they do for a living at dinner parties.

Basically journalists should be seen on the same level as pornographers and drug dealers, and women should gasp in horror and disgust anytime anyone ever admits to being one.

Sad but true. There still are real journalists but not in the sports business. Why? Because sports is entertainment and an entertainment journalists is nothing more than a gossip hound. The real news is becoming similar, which is what is very scary.
