OT: John Farrell, Red Sox manager, has lymphoma

Just announced on WEEI. He opened his press conference with the information.

Edit: It's stage one lymphoma, and it was found during his recent hernia surgery.


Follow up: He will not be back as manager for the rest of this season. He begins chemo on Tuesday.

Hope he recovers well. Thankfully he probably had a doctor that cares.

Imo there are a lot of patients that are misdiagnosed as the doctor pawns it off as something else until is gets to stage 2 or worse.
