Here is the situation that causes you to pick up Russell Wilson.A sleeper Cousin? Carson Wentz. Played back up to Stafford on the Rams for only $1.65mm. Won an important game for the Rams when Stafford got hurt.Would he like a chance to start again?
Only 31. He got on a terrible Washington Team. Previously he led the Colts to what should have been the Playoffs in 2021. He was blamed for the last two losses but it was their defense. That was a raw deal

I think he would do better than either Flacco or Brissett. This kid might be a perfect "bridge" He has more wins than losses and more TDs than INT. I would give him another chance. Saw a lot of Pittman on this film.

Agree. Just read the comments people in Seattle made after he left, then look at what Sean Payton did once he had him. Russ at this stage of his career is a prima donna. Not at all what you want to expose a young QB to. If we're just looking for a place holder, there are plenty of other journeymen that can fill that slot, just pick one:If drafting a rookie QB high.. would rather add a veteran QB who’s come to terms with maybe being close to their sunset, not a QB who is just trying to get back into the spotlight. Do not fault Wilson at all though for having that mindset, just would mesh better elsewhere (again, if they draft a QB high).
In 2917 Wentz was phenomenal Not sure why he went down the tubes. Not opposed to bringing him in as TC comoetitionA sleeper Cousin? Carson Wentz. Played back up to Stafford on the Rams for only $1.65mm. Won an important game for the Rams when Stafford got hurt.Would he like a chance to start again?

He’s making exactly $39M either way, so it makes the most sense for his new team to pay minimum salary ($1.21M) and let the Broncos pay the rest. What kind of salary is he expected to command? If under 5m hed be one of my choices for bridge.
The $39 million is not an offset. It makes no sense for Russell to accept League minimum. He’s making exactly $39M either way, so it makes the most sense for his new team to pay minimum salary ($1.21M) and let the Broncos pay the rest.
Wilson’s $39 million salary does have offsets but there would be no incentive for any team to offer Wilson more than the league minimum of $1.21 million since all they would be doing is paying the Broncos. The $39 million is not an offset. It makes no sense for Russell to accept League minimum.
