I would prefer the entire like/dislike/agree/etc. system be removed and instead offer a once a week time slot to allow posters to go full nuclear on each other. Might I suggest a late PM time slot on Tuesdays....Call it PatsFansMania...Cage Match.
Let's recapture the Spirit of NEM.
Something similar already exists on the political board with all the commies going head to head with freedom lovers. Lets bring that same vibe to the Big Board
    for everyone to enjoy. :)

Get an account on Chiefsplanet.com. It's much less censored, the free-for-alls are frequent and amusing, and you can discuss more topics on the main board.

Then come back here for the Patriots chat.

My experience on color discussions with Mrs. Rover:

Exactly the same as you all have described... UNTIL, about a year ago, I started noticing many on TV and around me wearing a particular shade of blue. I looked it up, and discovered its name was cerulean.

The name kind of stuck in my head, so that, from that point forth, whenever I was in Mrs. Rover's presence and someone was sporting that shade of blue, usually on a news program, I'd say, "Hey, look! There's cerulean again."

Took about a week or so... I made the comment once again, and this time she turned to me, and said, "You can't say that word anymore." [IMG]

To my recollection, she has not asked me about colors or shades since. [IMG]

I love mid-westerners...such nice people.....just wish the gals would go for a jog once in awhile instead of tater tot runs to McDonalds. I hear a moo and I don't know if I should look out at the pasture or towards the ladies room.
If I join Chiefs Planet with the handle GunsBeef&Chiefs...they might make me mayor. Have an avatar of a Raider getting run over by a monster truck...I may be governor by valentines day

When my wife was painting the inside of the house she and her friend picked out all of the colors themselves. Eventually, I threw a minor temper tantrum (perhaps after a glass of wine or two) and insisted that I have a little input, at least, into the paint colors so I wasn't completely left out. So, she lets me go to the paint store to pick out colors, and we put some paint swatches with my colors on each wall to compare to her colors.

.....At some point, I had a blinding flash of horrible realization that: i) all of the colors I picked out were a variation of a shade of gray that I liked in my office; ii) if we used the colors I had picked out the house would look absolutely terrible; iii) evidently I (like many if not most men) am partially color blind; iv) I absolutely sucked at picking out indoor paint colors. To her credit, my wife waited for me to come to that realization myself instead of rubbing my nose in it. ;)

So: now when we go to the paint store, I act extremely interested in the paint colors that she likes, I make noises of deep thought and pondering when she asks me questions about which ones are best, I carefully watch her expression and body language to determine which colors she is leaning toward and I make sure I like them also, and I make sure I am extremely enthusiastic about the colors she has picked out.

.....I guess it IS possible for an old dog to learn new tricks. :D

Cyan is important - it's one of the 3 colors used in most printers. It's also the complement of red.

But you can't really properly see cyan on your monitor, unless you try this very neat illusion - click on the link below, even though it doesn't look like a link because it's not in cyan: :)

You’ve never seen true Cyan before and it’s beautiful

My father was color blind and he would always complain that everything looked drab so he picked out some wallpaper for the kitchen. I swear it looked like sunny side up eggs on a pea green background. You shouldn't even be allowed to sell something like that.

It stayed up for years, until my father passed and my mother replaced it ASAP with a very attractive subtle geometric pattern - subdued nice colors.

My mother loved my father, I'm a lucky guy.

LOL, and on that note, I'm going to close this thread. Appreciate all the input and suggestions and I'll definitely taking it all into account with the changes after the season, but hopefully I won't have to worry about that until at least February
