NFL News OT: Garrett to Rams

Share the latest NFL news from around the league here.
Ty Simpson doesn’t excite anybody but this is the Rams so my guess is in two years they just trade two firsts for Joe Burrow or something

Wild…almost 40% of those came against Campbell.

There are layers and levels to the NFL.

One team in the NFC West is trading for Myles Garrett.

Another is having a public contract dispute with Jacoby Brissett….

Great trade for the Browns
I think the Browns got a bad deal.

They should have gotten 3 Firsts for Garrett, or Verse plus 2 firsts.

Only the Browns would sign a guy last year, shell out 27 million in salary and bonus, then trade the guy the next season. Should have traded him last year and saved themselves 27 million. Just dumb.

They could have gotten 3 firsts two years ago when they should have traded him. That ship sailed.

49ers gonna counter this Myles Garrett trade by selecting a running back in the 3rd-round in 2027 that everyone agrees was gonna go undrafted.

I do love the guys (except Simpson) they’ve acquired recently…lots of young talent; but unfortunately, it’s the Browns…

The Rams burned through seven years of first round picks, other picks, players and loaded up on cap debt… result = one ring.

I guess this is a team building strategy…

I dont think it's a bad deal for the rams
I just like it for Cleveland. They got a good player thats going to get better and a 1st and 2 more picks. They weren't competent for a championship. And maybe garrett at 25 years old gets 3 1s maybe. For me I'm never giving up 3 1s. Honestly if im running a team I'm patient and build thru the draft

I think getting Verse is essentially a low first, or what you’d expect your of not but you’re right, they draft pick is going to be like 27-32, they should have at least tried to backload it with two thirds or something. Seems a little light

If Aaron Donald comes back to join Garrett I think Purdy should take a year to find himself spiritually..

There are 4 types of super bowl level teams IMO.
1 - The Dark Horse. 2 - The Super Bowl Contender 3 - Super Bowl Caliber 4 - A Wagon (adjusted for era... Pre/Post Salary Cap).

The question is... With Garrett, is this team a Wagon? I don't quite think so. But they are in that convo.
