OT: Deadspin releases photos of Greg Hardy's victim

Her bruises does not look like someone who was picked up over his head and thrown onto a tiled floor in the bathroom or a sofa full of guns. It looks more consistent with someone being restrained or held to tight. If she broke a table in his living room, that likely contributed to the cuts on her hands and feet. Are we gonna say he uppercut her because she has a bruise under her chin? How desperate are we? Why do we always ignore what may have happened to the man during cases of domestic abuse? Hardy may be a piece a crap but there are 2 sides to every story.

Same case with Manziel, should I be convinced he was driving his car down the highway and just decided to beat his girl down, while riding one handed? Are you trying to convince me that girl didn't hit him back or even started hitting him first, which led to her beatdown. I get the whole "a man shouldn't put his hands on a woman" thing, but IMO, if she's trying to fight like a man, unless she's defending herself, then she deserves to go down like one.
Holy ****. 31 dislikes. That's gotta be some kind of record. Re: your last sentence, it depends. I used to get hit and sucker punched by my crazy ass ex. But once she landed one, again usually a sucker punch, she was easy to hold down until she calmed down. I have hit a woman though. Black girl that I got into a drunken spat with. She wouldn't stop coming and even when I grabbed both of her arms, she kneed me in the nuts and kept coming. I warned her to stop multiple times before I unloaded a right hook on her jaw and she went night night. Before you judge me, this girl fattened my nose and gave me a shiner before I decided to take matters into my own hands. So yes, there can be times where you have to treat a (ratchet) woman like a man. But it's not as cut and dry as you make it out to be.

My sister was a victim and the guy's in jail. He would have been dead if he was out on streets. I know first hand

Ah, OK, now we get to the core of your feelings about this.
This woman took a different path than your sister did. Perhaps your sister didn't have the seven figure option (very, very few do). And perhaps this woman didn't have a brother like you to protect her once she stood up to the guy.
I hope your sister is OK at this point and able to move on without baggage. It is a tough deal.

I like how on NFL*.com there's no discussion section for GH. Yet if a smidgeon of air disappears from a football, it's automatically Tom Brady's doing, and a huge-ass discussion forum is set up. #Integrity

I wonder if the NFL gave the arbiter the those picture's Icy.

No rulings by Goodell are ever enforced by arbitrators because his rulings always have no precedents or consistency. You really have to weigh in on the side of complete and utter incompetence here. It's like I decided to fine you a zillion gazillion dollars because it's a rainy Tuesday. The arbitrator is constrained to find a precedent, since domestic violence cases have occurred before. The arbitrator can't just try the case himself.

The amazing part is, goodell's rulings have much more protection than a court's ruling against citizens with rights, yet he's still so stupid, he can't make one ruling similar enough to another one to hold up at appeal

until there is something in place that prevents settlements for violent crimes, thugs like hardy will never get the message. The next girl he hurts is on this girls hands as well as hardys

Hardy's a POS but this woman taking money makes me cringe. I might not feel as much sympathy for her. Just another gold digger.

I imagine people you know threaten to kill you all the time, so you can understand her mindset.

By the way, in my generation, people knew what a pimp was. I don't think people do anymore.

Elijah i do feel Rice has been black balled because of the video. Not that he deserves sympathy, but i feel he became the face of domestic abuse, and undeservedly so considering the league been dealing with that issues for years.

I know Rice was showing signs of wearing down, but he was still better then some RB out there. Trent Richardson was on a roster last year, and he was terrible.
He pretty much WAS Trent Richardson his last year. No one was going to take on his baggage for that kind of performance.

Just an fyi LivinLovin&Breathin_Brady is a female. For people calling her a he...

Wow. It's gone from horrific to really, really sad. Hope she gets help.

It was cut down because of the CBA. Obviously we all think the fights Goodell chooses are stupid, but even if he decided to make it a million games it would have just been overturned in court like Brady, and then he would have had to serve zero games.

The Cowboys can do something, the Panthers did do something, but there's really nothing the NFL can do here that will stand up if challenged.

They would have had to go to court, though. I wonder how much of a defense the NFLPA is required to put up.

Is that last fact accurate? I got the impression that she chose to take the money over having him convicted, and thus he wasn't convicted. Maybe I missed something.

Convicted and dismissed on appeal. I'm not doing research, that's what deadspin site says.

A female took the side of a woman beating scumbag. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. Winner! The poster - A Man Named Brady isn't much better with his comment. Another winner.

I dont know what Patspimp issue is. Seems to have a problem with someone receiving money for having the **** beaten out of them without knowing anything about any circumstances.

I am sorry for the situation that your sister and your family had to go through. I can not even begin to comprehend the emotions and turmoil behind it.

Be that as it may, the woman here was up against a high profile POS who had the clout to make her life a living Hell if she chose to fight him in court. I am not saying that this is indeed how it would have unfolded. Only that I can understand why she would take the money and disappear.

Or a dead hell, for that matter. from what i read, it wasn't the first time he threatened to kill her. Would he do it? Maybe she thought so. Not like this guy reacts logicallt to situations.

Apparently she chose a lot of money and a new life, to being either a messageboard poster hero, or dead.

Well, pimps don't usually want the women to keep any money. Low blow on my part, but it is what it is.

So says the man who can't figure out "to" versus "too" versus "2," but I'm sure you're taken seriously among your own kind.

What is nuts is that people will protest dogs getting beaten and killed but they let crap like this pass.

No doubt, people who abhor animal cruelty are almost 100% pro domestic violence.

That's a reductio ad absurdum.

Every time I think we've reached rock bottom on this, someone comes along with a drill.

PatriotsPimp, everybody!

That's f*cked up. Somebody needs to stop the NFL*. The corruption won't end.

Well those photos are clearly in the public domain now, so there won't be any questionable acquisitions until the next domestic abuse case.
