OT: Colts Bob Sanders done?

When he's healthy for a full season, or at least near it, he almost single handedly changes their defense. I'd feel bad for Sanders himself, but I wouldn't lose sleep if the Pats never had to account for him again.

Word...................

The Colts have probably been expecting this for a while, but it's a shame to see a player have his career cut short if it is true.

Good work ethic, and a hard hitter.

Players like Sanders is why I watch NFL football. There's nothing else like it. That said, as a Pats fan I won't regret missing him that encounter or 2 per season. I do think the Colts have already shown they can rack up the Ws without him. Great effort player. Can't believe he's 5'8".

He's a real impact player when healthy. But that's the rub - when healthy. Real fun to watch him play when it's not against the Pats though. He plays the game hard and full tilt. The dude is a human heat seeking missile!

As mentioned, gotta feel for the player in a case like this, although I do agree the whole flexing after every play was a bit annoying.

However, for the Colty-Land fans, I sure hope it's true. After the celebrating and taunting they unleashed on Pat's fans following Brady's injury, they deserve as much bad news as they can get.

i dont think he is over-rated at all. The colts D is not that same when he is out of the line-up...i am a big Bob Sanders fan, even if he plays for the colts

He was good in run support, no doubt, and he was spectacular at laying into receivers who were looking the other way over the middle. That's about it. He was hot garbage in pass coverage and could never stay healthy. Somehow, playing 47 games over 6 years he was billed as one of the premier defensive players in football.

If hadn't always jumped up and started flexing whenever he made a tackle, maybe his biceps would be OK.

Post of the Day candidate.

In a way, I kinda hope that the Dolts keep this dirty, show-boating head-hunter around a while longer, just so that his presense negatively effects their personnel decision-making.
Otherwise, Fugeddaboudim.
