OT: Cameron Wake done for the year

If I remember right he came off the first block like he aggravated it, but kept going into a second block. There wasn't any flying bodies or anything that looked dangerous to him, and then he was calmly lying on the field waiting for the med staff. Tough break for the Phins.

Hate to see ANYONE get hurt, he seems like a decent person and a great player. Hopefully he can come back from this. Those Achilles injuries are rough. Best of luck CW.

I never like to see this happen to anyone, especially a player I respect. I hope he has a full recovery and is back on the field next year. The guy is a beast.

It didn't even look that bad. Everyone thought he tweaked a hamstring. What a bummer for them.
you would think by watching their reactions that it was going to be Tray Jackson that would be the one that was the one that was going to be out for a year.

I feel bad for Wake but not so much for the many Dolphins fans who openly root for an injury to Brady.

he's a free agent after the season i believe.

i may be in the minority here, but non contact ligament injuries always have me suspicious. i would not be surprised if he were on PEDs. for a guy his age his production is almost too good.

Patriot fans should know better than to level unfounded charges with nothing to support them. Wake has been a great player and has never failed a drug test.

Wake's one of my favorite non-Patriots and he's always been a true competitor and hugely underrated by the media. Sad to see a really big, fluke injury (because it really was, no contact, he just landed on it funny) like this in a great player's career, especially when he's still playing extremely well despite his age; we had it happen to Wilfork, and it sucked.

When it happened, he just had that look. Stone cold and angry. He showed no pain, not tears, nothing. But I think he knew what it was and that his season was over.

sorry didn't mean to accuse anyone, just that my suspicions were raised. PEDs make ligaments easier to break.

That's awful for him. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery. Class act move by Williams/Fleming (I didn't see who) to hold him up when it became apparent he was injured. They could have easily made it worse by continuing to drive him backward but, instead, held him up then gently put him on the ground. Very professional.

That stinks for him and his team. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

This dumb motherf&cker on the Dolphins forum hoped for a season ending Brady injury inflicted by Wake. Instead, it turns out that it was Wake who suffered that fate. What a twist!

The one thing Sammy Watkins was right about is that the injury rate in football is 100%, the only question is what gets injured. I get that PEDS will damage bodies and can lead to injuries but absent a positive test I would hold off on speculating what leads to it. And the reason I said that Patriot fans should know better is because we have gone through years of false accusations about the team and we should have a higher standard than the morons have.

A better twist would have had the dumb mother.cker. in the fish forum breaking his jaw while opening a twist off with his teeth.

Are you an NFL media executive?

Don't go on most oppo boards especially the Broncos board. They want Brady dead. Maimed and out for the year.

ACL and Achilles injuries are usually planting/torque injuries, so contact is usually not needed.

Rumor has it that a Tork injury is what prompted Davey Jones to learn the tambourine.
