**** it. I'm gonna just say it. This Tom Brady, is the best Tom Brady ever thus far.

  • He is CLEARLY more mobile
  • His deep ball is on point (Hogan is helping so much for taking the top off)
  • His velocity looks even stronger than the last 2 years

Then there is this:

He's special and it's incredible what he is doing. Though, it feels like the first time he has reliable, fairly healthy, and skill position players that are up to speed on the offense/system. It's all working together and his ability to have 5 eligible receivers on any given play has not been diminished with time (probably quite the opposite).

His added mobility and choices when to run/slide) is inspiring. I think he'll even start turning some of the haters into awe inspired believers.

I think this statement needs some special attention as I don't agree with it....but there are caveats.

Tom Brady does not have the same arm strength he had back in 2007 or even in 2013. With that said it is still very good and not close to noodle-arm Manning circa 2014 and 2015.

If you go back and look at Joe Montana throwing in 1981 and again in 1989 or 1990, he had less zip but was dominant.

However...

Just like Joe, his accuracy, location, timing, touch and anticipation is THE BEST I have ever seen.

I think that is why he is throwing such a good deep ball and his YPC of hitting guys is stride is obscene.

That throw to Hogan was gorgeous.

His footwork has been incredible.

Clearly his leg strength and agility are still excellent.

Older QB sometimes get stiff in the hips but that is not the case with Tom at all.

So....

I while I don't agree that his arm strength is what it was 2-3 years ago, for the reasons I mentioned he is playing the position at a higher-level than he ever has.

Brady has never had four straight games with a QB rating over 120.

Until this year. At age 39.

He's been incredible, no doubt. The thing that stands out for me is his mobility, he has alwasy had an amazing pocket awareness but he's clearly more nimble.

Look at all the QBs getting paid more than Brady.

FACT: Brady is the most unselfish player ever.

I've been saying forever that if Brady ever added even a modestly credible threat of running to his game he'd be as close to unstoppable as anyone who's ever played.

*spoiler alert* He is.

Counting down until the first thread suggesting that we should let Tom spend every September tanning his backside in Capri.

10, 9, 8....

Most accurate QB
Best decision maker
Best pocket presence
Top 5 Arm
Top 5 deep ball
Top 10 Scrambler*

How can you be faster at age 39 than 22? Brady right now is playing like a hybrid of Russell Wilson and Drew Brees.

The GOAT.

*Ok maybe not

I don't know what you're basing that on, his arm looks just fine to me. He may not be rocketing a lot of passes but it's not necessarily a good idea to do so.

I did not say his arm doesn't look fine.

Hes a top 10 scrambler, I think thats a huge reach

Fair lol. It's more to highlight the change in his game.

He's projected to beat his career high in rushing yards by 22 despite missing 4 games. He'd also be 12th in rushing for QBs if he played all 8 games at his pace.

Brady is a mobile QB. It's hilarious and amazing at the same time.

I was all in favor of keeping Garoppolo, since he exceeded my expectations (despite getting injured). But what Tom Brady is doing is just, ridiculous.

What we're seeing from Tom s almost unprecedented, and he's showing no signs of slowing down. If we can just improve our offensive line and have a better running game, we could easily have Brady play at this level for another 3 or 4 years.

That might be worth trading Garoppolo this offseason, assuming he can get us a Top 5 draft pick. If not, it might be best to hold onto him for at least another year.

Brady's definitely playing better now than he did in his 20's! This is some historical **** we're witnessing

I did not say his arm doesn't look fine.

I specifically said "I don't know what you're basing this on", I have not noticed any decreased velocity and I have also seen him rocket a few passes in situations where it was appropriate to rocket the ball.

I think his pocket awareness and mobility strictly in the pocket is tremendous though
