Opinion - This is the Best Tom Brady Ever

I specifically said "I don't know what you're basing this on", I have not noticed any decreased velocity and I have also seen him rocket a few passes in situations where it was appropriate to rocket the ball.
I think he lost a little zip from last year to be honest, but it doesnt matter. You only need average arm strength and his is still above average atleast

Counting down until the first thread suggesting that we should let Tom spend every September tanning his backside in Capri.

10, 9, 8....

You may be onto something Patchick.

Maybe a tanned backside is to Tom, what his long hair was to Samson.

Fair lol. It's more to highlight the change in his game.

He's projected to beat his career high in rushing yards by 22 despite missing 4 games. He'd also be 12th in rushing for QBs if he played all 8 games at his pace.

Brady is a mobile QB. It's hilarious and amazing at the same time.

I think that for a few seasons, Brady either has had the most rushing TDs per season for anybody in his age cohort, or at least has been in the top 2-3.

Of course, none of those TD runs are breakaway gallops ...

He's special and it's incredible what he is doing. Though, it feels like the first time he has reliable, fairly healthy, and skill position players that are up to speed on the offense/system. It's all working together and his ability to have 5 eligible receivers on any given play has not been diminished with time (probably quite the opposite).

His added mobility and choices when to run/slide) is inspiring. I think he'll even start turning some of the haters into awe inspired believers.
Imagine when Lewis is an option.

OK. I am basing it on a few throws that over his career he would rocket it in there but instead was "less than a rocket'

Off the top of my head, the throw to James White was a little weak. 5 years ago that would have been on the numbers. There were a couple of throws vs Pitt where a few years ago he would have thrown a dart but didn't.

I think he can still throw rockets but his arm doesn't have the endurance to do it as often as he had in the past.

Because of that he has adapted his game a little.....and hes better because of it.

Hell even at 39 Nolan Ryan no longer threw 100mph 80 times a game. He threw 97 50 times a game.

Look at all the QBs getting paid more than Brady.

FACT: Brady is the most unselfish player ever.

Wait a second, who is this fat ass?

Is it just me or did he actually look fast when he made that run yesterday? I was shocked.

I got downvoted for saying he looks better than 07 and 10 so far.

Agreed. And this also means this is the greatest qb play i watched in my lifetime - from a 39 year old. Amazing!

All i can say is THANK YOU goodell, ravens/colts , espn , and the rest of the gutless, jealous pus***s that have motivated him recently.

**** it. I'm gonna just say it. This Tom Brady, is the best Tom Brady ever thus far.

  • He is CLEARLY more mobile
  • His deep ball is on point (Hogan is helping so much for taking the top off)
  • His velocity looks even stronger than the last 2 years

Then there is this:

He will be special regardless but maybe not quite this good. I have seen QB's get hot for 4 games like Donavan McNabb go off for 4 games and then come back to earth.

Brady does look great though and if he keeps this pace up he will be the MVP.

His arm actually looks stronger... there was a pass he over threw.. I think Gronk yesterday but he threw the pass while he was running and off balance, it was basically an all arm throw and it went flying out of his hand and down the field about 40 to 45 yards. His arm does seem to be stronger, I don't know how thats possible.

Brady may be doing certain things better now at 39, but arm strength and velocity is not one of them. His arm was at its peak in 07 if you watch the film.

watch this

If you take the angle of the field into play that is about a 75 yard throw with amazing velocity. Brady can't make throws like that anymore

With that said....Brady still has a fantastic underrated deep ball. He's hit hogan 58-60 yards downfield for touchdowns this year.
