There's no such thing as a referee fix by the league, nor would they take edicts like that from the league, especially after they were left out to dry for the deflated footballs thing.

I believe the referees have no loyalty to 345 Park Ave, and don't call games as such. They might be bad at their jobs, but they're not fixing games because Goodell says so.

If that's the case, what's your beef with last Thursday? I thought that game was called pretty well, all in all.

Also, keep Alex Smith and trade Kaepernick, and that pass is completed.

Mccoy and Harvin are damn good players you can't ignore. All around this is the best squad hes probably ever had.

McCoy's excellent. CJ Spiller was also very good, especially in tandem with Fred Jackson.

Percy Harvin is the single-most overrated player in the NFL.

I feel like our game plan might be the same as the Super Bowl.

1. Keep Taylor in the pocket.
2. Contain McCoy.
3. Let their passing game make the mistakes.
4. Quick release on O
5. Screen game to take advantage of their over aggression.

To add to this:
I like the match-ups of our CBs against Buffalo's WR better than I did against the Steelers. Watkins was just held catchless by a less talented set of CBs.. That being said, Buffalo does have 5 talented receivers in Watkins, McCoy, Harvin, Woods, and Clay. I just think we can match up with them.

I am not as worried about our D-line against the Bills run game, even if the Pats have to sit in their Nickle package most of the time again. Them running with McCoy actually plays into the Nickle strength, imho.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rex tries to run the Wildcat. He always seemed to try it once or twice when we played the Jets.

Our Interior O-line will definitely be tested against the combination of Dareus and Williams. Both OTs will have to worry about Hughes as he lines up on either end depending on their play.

Though Blount will be back, I expect Lewis to get the majority of the snaps, with them working over the tackles and outside as well as him pass blocking and lining up as a receiver.

I believe that the Buffalo secondary is very suspect and they will have trouble handling Gronkowski, Edelman and Amendola, not to mention Chandler. I think those four, with a good dose of Lewis and Dobson will make it very hard for them to slow the Patriots down.

I realize the Bills are a talented team with a helluva defense but they don't have Tom Brady or Bill Belichick in the critical positions.

A few a few initial comments:

1. Taylor did an excellent job today. He's a great example of the value of a guy sitting and waiting to play. This guy is NOT a rooke. He's been in the league for 5 years now. He might not have seen a lot of snaps in real games, but he's been around for a while.

2. Greg Roman - The announcers could say enough great things about Greg Roman. IIRC he was the OC with the Niners, so he has experience with a QB with Taylor's talents.

3. I didn';t see a lot of Read options or planned QB runs, though that doesn't mean we won't. Taylor IS a threat to run and will be difficult to sack on the rush. He was better than I thought he'd be, not that the Colt D is a juggernaut,

4. This is a group of offensive skil players who might be as good as the Pats see all year. I really like their rookie RB, and have always been a fan of McCoyy. So I doubt we;ll see much 4-2 - 5 this week.

5. Lots of penalties. Lots of sloppy game management.and wasted TO;s Lots of HC camera time. So in other words, I typical Rex Ryan game 6

6. Home field will be a huge advantage this week. The home crowd will just make the job of our suspect OL even more difficult..

7/ SOP. for a game like this used to be spreading them out and pick them apart. Literally pick them apart with picks. Just like in the Seattle game,, not many vertical routes.

8. This is ALWAYS a tough game even when they haven had a lot less talent at the skill positions. So look for a barn burner on the road.

9. Rex will want to run the ball/short pass us and keep time of possession in his favor. That's not a game day strategy, that;s a coaching philosophy

10. This very easily can become a loss and a big one, if we aren't carefull and take care of the ball. I don't think anyone will be shocked if we don't come out with a win

Be safe. There are some real aholes at that stadium. Expect non-stop 'cheaters" attacks and things thrown at you.

Cut 'em some slack, you'd be salty too if your team has sucked forever and all your free time is spent trying to shovel out your driveway.

Don't underestimate the impact of Rex and the new additions to that team. While they still stink at QB, that's a talented roster their facing next week and a coach who will throw everything at the Patriots.

Admittedly it is just one game but Taylor did not "stink" today. Even besides the efficiency, if you watched the game he does little, smart things that a quality QB will do. Like being smart enough to get into a tipped ball and knocking it to the ground so that it is not picked off. Other Bills QB's in years past give up a pick and it maybe becomes a pick 6. He knew when to the throw the ball away and didn't try to force it into tight windows in his first start. He also works well on broken plays, signaling his player to come back to him as he scrambled outside the pocket. Little stuff like that can change a game as you guys well know, having enjoyed stellar QB play for more than a decade.

The other Bills have been saying for weeks how smart and in command he is of the offense and we got a glimpse of that today. As a Bills fan, we got a glimmer of hope yesterday, but the big test is Brady and Belichick, who might not be inside their locker rooms but is damn sure inside every teams head collective heads....(cmon, thats funny right there)...

1: Their defense will be tough but they can be run upon ... Colts had that but kept going back to Luck.

2: Tyrod is going to be seeing one thing and witnessing the other ... Belichick so cruel on the noob QB's.

3. We can win ... game will be close ... Brady must be patient and he knows this.

4: Will be a good game for the short passes ... Brady excels in that area.

I agree with this.
One major difference this week is that our best player will be back from his one game suspension and run stopper, Marcel Dareus. But you guys get Blount back, right? I think the Patriots will spread the Bills out in a hurry up and run Blount up the middle against the nickel and I am not sure we have the safeties to stop that guy.
