That night was a blur to me. Can't even remember what was going through my mind during the Ty Law pick, the kick, the trophy presentation etc. Just remember going nuts. I don't know if that's because it was so long ago or because it was so surreal with what we were used to seeing with this team.

I remember before the 2001 season I was looking for Pats jerseys at a Champs around here and the guy was a Pats fan, we had a chat because around here there aren't many Pats fans. I was trying to be upbeat after that brutal '00 season.... saying how we struggled in '95, scored a couple big players in the following draft with our nice draft position... and how who knows maybe we can do it again this year. But the whole time neither of us really bought into it lol just nodding our heads and saying yeah, who knows. Who would've thought

Still remember this day and the day after like it was yesterday.

During the day finished Final Fantasy X before heading to Narragansett for our Super Bowl party. Walked in and told everybody we are winning it all tonight. They looked at me like I had 2 heads, but I just had a feeling. Game is going on and we are munching on food, partying it up, until after the Tebucky fumble, as once that was called back, we all had a sick feeling. The 4th took forever, and when we got the ball back with 1:41 left, they asked me what I would do, and I said "This D is cooked, if we go to OT and lose the toss, we are cooked, try to win it, just nothing stupid." We were driving, and we started getting louder and louder. As Adam lined up for the FG, we all took knees and held hands. I ended up saying a prayer, and as that kick sailed through, I let out a primal scream and held my arms up, as I got crushed on each side by two 260 pounders in the best muckle pig pile I have ever been in. I got on the phone and called my dad, who was the biggest Pats fan I knew, and even though he didn't admit it, it was dusty at his house, which made it get a little dusty where I was as we were screaming "We did it, we won." More celebrating left a wooden replica of the Mayflower getting burned, no voices, bruised ribs and the biggest smile I have ever had. The 40 minute ride home seemed like 5, as I checked my machine and emails and never was happier in my life.

Next day, I had 4 college classes, my first class was math, as I was waiting for the previous class to empty, wearing my Pats hat, shirt and hoodie, sore, tired, a girl in my class comes up to me and asks "Did you watch the game last night?" I smiled and nodded. Next class was a lab, did the work in 5 minutes and ran to ****'s to get two championship hats and two championship t-shirts, one for me, one for my father. 3rd class was cancelled, and the 4th class the teacher, who knew I was a huge Pats fan, looked at me and said "I am shocked you are here today, what a game."

Went to Boston the next day for the parade, then the rally in Providence a week later. Awesome memories for sure.
