BB and McCourtey may have a verbal agreement. Unless he gets blown away with some offer..he gives Pats final shot at re-signing him....and I have a feeling it's not all about money with Dmc. How much of a canyon between taking the money or staying a Patriot is anyone's guess.....

We struggled through the first 4 weeks Revis played then browner returned after this and we got better. By that logic Browner is our "Savior"

Then BB, Kraft and the whole NE front office doesnt know what the hell they are doing trying to sign Revis long term.

I could really care less who the Jets target or go after. I would think players like VM, McCourty and especially Revis would know better. But if they're that stupid and go there for the top dollar so be it. At least that keeps them away from some of our real AFC competition who have the cap dollars like a Denver or Indy.

BTW I keep hearing speculation on VW to Houston to rejoin BOB, Romeo and Vrabel. It makes sense on some level but I keep thinking what does Ted Johnson think of that?

The Jets have too many needs ahead of signing another safety. Unless they are speaking to DMac about playing cornerback, there is no validity to DMac signing with the Jets

I dont mind if the pay him 10m + year with tons of gtd money. They will get hurt later. Dont forget that will get a high comp pick. So at least we get something and hurt a divisional rival.

Not sure if Patriots willing to pay McCourty 10m/yr. More like 7m/yr would be more reasonable. Sadly, there a so many teams in need of Secondary help with ton of free cap, that Patriots may end up losing their Captain.

Jarius Byrd is scheduled to receive $30 million in cash over the first 3 years (2nd best total ever for a safety).

If this is true DMac may have to chose between leaving or taking a couple of million less to stay. The gap would look pretty wide from here.
