Lucien not to be outdone makes a nice adjustment.

Who has hurt their changes to make the team and why?
Also add TE Hollister to the list of positives.

Official Preseason Thread Jags @ Pats

So in the first half we have something like this:

Various degrees of Positives:
Austin Carr, Brandon Bolden, Dion Lewis, Ted Karras, Brandon King, Harvey Langi

Various degrees of Negatives:
Cyrus Jones x?2? [edit, x infinity], Jon Jones, Cameron Fleming, the (backup) OL as a whole, Stephen Gostkowski, whoever it was that missed their assignment on the edge on that ST return, Elandon Roberts

Missing in Action:
Conor McDermott, Deatrich Wise (concussion)

Hollister was open for a 40 yd gain if not for the tackle.

Yeah, not looking forward to that. Hopefully Carr stops turning heads so we can get him through to the PS.
I am afraid that ship has sailed.

Good Job by Foster falling forward. We have a chance to keep him on the PS. I hope we do.

Jimmy's got that Rich Gannon sidearm thing down

Absolutely. His biggest weaknesses are separating when guys get in his grill, quickness is pretty average and as a route runner he needs to improve. But his hands, football IQ, acceleration, body control and YAC ability are there.

Yeah, it's a really weird combination because he seems to change direction very well but doesn't have a ton of initial burst like Edelman/Welker, which will probably limit his effectiveness on quick strikes. He'll never get reliably open within one second like those guys can/could. If he had a little more initial explosiveness I'd be a lot more bullish on him than I am, but OTOH if he had more initial burst he probably would have been a 2nd-3rd round pick.

But on longer-developing plays, I think he could be really effective as a WR3-4 operating out of the slot. I'm particularly impressed by how smooth his change of direction is, I think that alone could win him a job in the NFL as a slot receiver on slightly longer-developing plays. Give him option routes and I think he could exploit them if he's any good at reading coverages. It's rare to see a guy change direction with so little loss of speed. And that ones that can are usually tiny, which he is not by any stretch.

Well I've seen enough from Garoppolo now. Time to send out Brissett to throw those 12-second rocket screens.

Cam Flemming had an absolutely sick block on that May TD

Is it true that Goodell's in the building? Wee-woo...

Finally caught up. I had to put my son to bed. Yikes, the play by Cyrus Jones in coverage. He was a guy I was hoping that we wouldn't draft, but I mentioned before last year's draft that he was so easy to project in our schemes that I expected us to take him. I wanted Sean Davis (who went just before us to Pitt), or James Bradberry. So far, I'd be pretty happy with either of those guys over Jones.

A real shame, too, because I've always liked the name Cyrus. I've been trying to convince my wife to name our second son Cyrus (due in a few weeks), but after tonight maybe I'll change my mind.

Pull JG. He will jut run it up against these (no offense) 3rd string scrubs.

Get get Bisket in there. Bisket is always hungry We did settle on that as his bastardized name right?

Richards is not making a case to make the roster. That was bad.

Jordan Richards just took one of the worst pursuit angles I've ever seen. Just cut the guy already.

Holy crap that guy can fly. I'm not even mad.
