At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

Team needs to get lean and mean. JJ can be the returner and contribute to run game. Don't need a one trick specialist when more depth is needed in other groups. Plus, he may clear waivers and end up in PS.
The thing is, there is a distinct possibility he gets injured if he's exposed to many times.

One can live in Massachusetts and play in Jersey.... players do film review/treatment on Monday, off on Tuesdays, practice on Wed/Thurs, lightly practice on Fri, walk thru a bit on Sat, and play on Sundays. Hoyer could dress on Sunday, drive home, return on Tuesday evening, and still spend extra time on Fri nights/Sat AM. This would only be for 5 months plus a BYE week or a mini-BYE coming off a Thurs game.

Doable for a BIGGER check holding the clipboard vs. running the scout team here....

His net worth is around $20m. This guy doesn't drive around in a Lamborghini or live in a fancy mansion, so I really doubt he wants to jump through those kinds of hoops at this point in his life.

I'd still jump through hoops for an extra million or two if it meant only 5 months worth of work....(shrugs)

Hoyer isn't gonna make the same money when he retires....

I appreciate that they guy SF passed on Mac for is all the way at the bottom.

Preseason may be preseason, but there’s no way I‘d want Lance over Mac after seeing their raw skills. Lance is incredibly raw. What’s the point of giving up two first round picks to select a guy who needs to learn to play the position? Jones looks like a perfect fit for SF’s offense.

Are you saying $20m isn't enough to retire on?

No.

The point TC is making is Tom had a great 2016, was 40 years old and Bill wanted to showcase Jimmy a little.

His overall point is historically speaking, the starter gets a ton of reps in preseason.
I said early on that if Mac outplayed Cam, and won the starting job, then Bill would offer Cam his release or try to trade him to another team. I don't know if Mac has won the starting job or not, but if he has, then I would think keeping Cam around would open a whole bunch of possible issues and it would certainly raise the question as to whether or not he should be traded/released.

Just saw a 53 where Gunner is Cut.
I get he’s had the drops but he gains separation and is a all world punt returner.
I think we can’t be letting go of WRs who can get separation and know our system.
But I could be completely off.
Gunner hasn’t been able to catch a cold but it can improve.
Elevated to all WORLD now?

Are you saying $20m isn't enough to retire on?
Depends upon how you want to retire. If you’ve spent the last 11 years making 2 million per year, 20 mill won’t support that lifestyle for 40 more years before even getting into inflation.
There is also the consideration of having additional money to pass on the his children and grandchildren during his lifetime.

If Cam were released/traded, it wouldn’t shock me. Look no further than his incentive-heavy contract.

It is more than enough, but people with that much money already have an elevated lifestyle they'd like to maintain....And Hoyer is only 35 years old....he still has at least 40 years left on planet earth assuming normal human lifespan....that much time coupled with inflation and rising gasoline prices...20 million might not be what it used to be....

Zero sacks… that’s “flashed?” He got schooled repeatedly trying to play contain on the edge.

They could put him on some faux injury list (Foxboro flu) or try sneaking him on the practice squad but he hasn’t been good enough to keep on the active roster.

You don’t compound a draft mistake by being stubborn. Bill drafted Duke Dawson in the second round, he lasted about as long as a cup of coffee before Bill traded him.
He is a rookie with 3 preseason games so far. I don't think that his performances were anywhere near as bad as they would need to be to get cut as a rookie like that. With that logic they would have need to cut cajuste jennings as well or did anyone of them impress during their first year/s. ( I know abozut Cajuste's injury history) but he wasn't really good in his limited training action last year if i remember right. He looks good right now. Perkins will get there. And as DaBruinz mentioned he plays a bit different role than he used to is from College

Hoyer might be willing to retire simply but his wife probably likes her current lifestyle

Actually, they gave up THREE first rounders. Absolutely incomprehensible trade.

Why do you assume "making" = "spending" ?

Yip, wives decide these things....
